"Vini…"
Victini floated down and gently brushed her small hand across Sora's face, her eyes filled with worry.
"Don't worry, I'm fine."
As warm life energy flowed through his body, the injuries from the explosion began healing at a visible pace.
While reassuring the two little ones, Sora turned his gaze back to the battlefield.
With Ogerpon's Terastallization complete, her strength had surged dramatically.
Her already terrifying vine club strikes now battered Bloodmoon Ursaluna into submission.
Simple sweeps.
Heavy smashes.
Every movent carried power equal to—if not greater than—Ursaluna's full-force Blood Moon or Hyper Beam.
Against an Ogerpon fighting at full output, rely being suppressed would have been the best-case scenario.
But the reality was harsher.
Ursaluna had completely lost the ability to fight back.
Soon, its remaining arm was broken as well.
Its chest and back took repeated blows from the vine club.
"What incredible vitality…"
Any ordinary Pokémon would have collapsed long ago under such punishnt.
Yet Ursaluna still stood.
"So this is the durability of a Pokémon that's broken past level 80…"
Impressive as it was, the outco had already been decided the mont it lost the initiative and had one arm shattered early in the battle.
"Boom…"
At last, Ogerpon's vine club struck Ursaluna squarely on the head.
The towering ancient beast lost consciousness and crashed to the ground.
"Poné!"
Seeing her opponent finally defeated, Ogerpon felt the tension drain from her body.
The earlier mont—when she nearly lost Sora—had shaken her deeply.
It had co dangerously close to reopening old trauma.
She didn't believe she could endure losing family again.
"Great work, Ponpon."
While praising her, Sora pulled a Poké Ball from his pocket—the one he had prepared long in advance—and threw it toward the unconscious Ursaluna.
The ball struck its body.
There was barely any resistance.
Click.
"Bloodmoon Ursaluna, get!"
He picked up the Poké Ball but didn't release it imdiately.
Instead, he led the three Pokémon back to the cave halfway up the mountain.
The fog and darkness of the Tiless Woods were hardly ideal conditions for conversation.
Standing on the grassy slope outside the cave, Sora finally released Ursaluna.
"Grr…"
After resting briefly inside the ball, the great bear regained consciousness.
Its body still throbbed with pain and exhaustion.
But facing the human who had defeated it fairly, Ursaluna did not resist.
Primitive as it was, it possessed a strong sense of honor.
Yes—three against one could be considered unfair in modern standards.
But Ursaluna had no moral high ground.
It had targeted the trainer directly.
Could it really complain about the opponent using multiple Pokémon for protection?
In its straightforward mind, defeat was defeat.
No excuses.
Since it had accepted Sora's challenge, it would honor the result.
From this mont on—
Sora was its leader.
"Don't move yet. Let treat your injuries."
Looking into Ursaluna's eyes, Sora saw none of the earlier savagery.
He knew the Pokémon had acknowledged him.
"Vini, give a hand."
With a combination of dicine and Victini's restorative energy, Ursaluna's wounds healed rapidly.
What remained would recover naturally overnight.
For a level-80-plus Pokémon, even severe injuries were manageable.
"Rrr…"
Once treatnt was complete, Ursaluna slowly stood.
It let out a low rumble, clearly asking a question.
"Oh, right. Almost forgot."
"Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Sora."
He gestured to the others.
"This is Victini, this is Lilligant, and this is Ogerpon."
"Roar."
Ursaluna nodded.
It had already witnessed Ogerpon's strength firsthand.
So small—yet possessing unimaginable power.
As for Lilligant and Victini:
Victini's abilities were beyond its understanding.
Simply miraculous.
Lilligant, while not as strong as itself, had impressed it deeply with the Energy Ball that intercepted Hyper Beam.
Her strength would have qualified as a regional apex predator even in the Hisui era.
Such apex Pokémon typically ranged between level 50 and 70.
Among them, Lilligant would rank near the top.
Her only shortcoming was size.
Without the natural "alpha blessing" that wild bosses sotis possessed—a kind of growth enhancent—she couldn't truly be called an Alpha Pokémon.
"Vini! Vini vini!"
Victini waved her arms angrily, clearly scolding Ursaluna for attacking Sora.
How could you attack a trainer?
She looked genuinely offended.
That was unfair!
Exactly!
Ogerpon quickly joined in.
You almost hurt Sora!
"Rrr?"
Ursaluna scratched its head awkwardly.
It genuinely didn't understand.
Pokémon weren't supposed to attack trainers?
That had always been normal where it ca from.
"Alright, alright."
Sora stopped the two smaller Pokémon and addressed Ursaluna calmly.
"I understand your situation."
"In the Hisui era, Pokémon attacking humans was indeed common."
"But that was hundreds of years ago."
He explained that the world had changed.
Old rules no longer applied.
"From now on, you can't attack humans casually. Understood?"
He spoke patiently, teaching Ursaluna how to live in the modern world and follow his guidance.
The lesson wasn't simple.
He didn't forbid self-defense.
But he needed Ursaluna to understand balance—when to hold back, and when to act.
That balance would define how it survived among humans.
"Rrr…"
Ursaluna listened, not fully understanding—but willing to try.
Despite its fearso appearance, it wasn't inherently violent.
It had simply lived in isolation too long.
Compared to truly feral prehistoric predators—like Aerodactyl—Ursaluna was manageable.
Even so, Sora knew this would take effort.
Training power was one challenge.
Training temperant was another entirely.
And in the long run—
That second challenge might matter even more.
