There, a small white figure—about one ter tall—was quietly eating berries near the water.
Its body was pale white.
It had blue eyes.
Above them stretched large wing-like mbranes.
On both sides of its body sat diamond-shaped blue crystal structures.
"No way… seriously?!"
Standing before him—
was a Pokémon that shouldn't be here.
Or more precisely—
shouldn't exist in this era.
Amaura.
Amaura was an ancient Pokémon revived from fossil remains that had been frozen for over 100 million years.
Like Aerodactyl, it belonged to a lineage long extinct.
Yet no matter how he looked at it—
there was no mistake.
That was definitely Amaura.
"Is this even possible?"
He searched his mory carefully.
He had no recollection of Amaura appearing on the Nebel Plateau.
More importantly—
this one appeared to be shiny.
Normally, Amaura had a blue body.
But this one was predominantly white.
"Vee!"
He quickly summoned his number-one social butterfly.
"See that one over there?"
"Bi-ni?"
Victini followed his pointing finger and spotted the shiny Amaura.
"Bring it so food."
No further explanation needed.
Victini instantly understood.
Sora had taken a liking to that white Pokémon.
He wanted it on the team.
"Bi-ni!"
Mission accepted!
"Let's give it a try," Sora murmured.
"If it doesn't work, I won't force it."
He had already noticed the situation.
The shiny Amaura had no herd here.
It stood alone.
And being shiny made things even harder.
Shiny Pokémon often struggled in the wild.
Their unusual appearance could lead to isolation—or danger.
That explained why it stayed near the edge of the group, quietly eating berries by itself.
And soon, the plan proved correct.
"Bi~ bi-ni bi-ni~~"
When Victini successfully guided Amaura over, Sora secretly gave her a thumbs-up.
"Awuu~"
Amaura approached cautiously, curiously observing the human in front of her.
"Hello there, Amaura."
Sora greeted gently.
"My na is Sora. I'm Vee's partner."
"Awuu?"
Amaura tilted her head, her long neck swaying slightly.
"I'd like to invite you to join my team."
He spoke directly—no tricks, no hiding intentions.
That caught Amaura off guard.
Her situation was unusual.
She wasn't native to the Nebel Plateau.
She had revived accidentally in a cave.
Because of her shiny coloration, she had beco separated from her kind at a very young age.
Later, a sudden natural disaster forced her into hibernation.
Only a few years ago had she awakened from the ice.
The world had changed.
She was curious.
She was frightened.
And she never quite fit in with the other Pokémon.
Sora's guess had been right.
She had wandered alone for a long ti.
"You can take your ti deciding," he said.
"For now, try so food made by Buneary."
As he handed her a portion, he calmly explained what life with him would be like.
Amaura was a Rock / Ice-type Pokémon.
Exactly the combination his team currently lacked.
She could fill the role of a special attacker perfectly.
"Awuu…"
At first, she hesitated.
But after tasting the food Buneary offered—
her eyes lit up instantly.
So delicious!
Her resolve began to waver.
Seeing this, Sora smiled inwardly.
No Pokémon can resist human cooking.
He had found the weak spot.
Throughout the ani, countless Pokémon had joined trainers after sharing just one good al.
Food was universal diplomacy.
"Awuu!"
After finishing her portion, Amaura still looked a little reluctant to leave.
But she wasn't greedy.
She felt embarrassed asking for more.
"Here."
Sora imdiately filled another bowl and handed it to her.
"For you."
"Awuu~~"
And just like that—
the gentle, innocent Amaura was successfully persuaded.
The next step was the standard Pokémon battle.

Amaura had no chance against Sora's team.
He sent out only one Pokémon:
Sylveon.
The result was swift.
Victory ca easily.
That didn't an Amaura was weak.
It simply ant Sora's Sylveon was absurdly strong.
Larger-than-average body
Massive internal energy reserves
Moves Amaura had never seen before
The difference in preparation was overwhelming.
One more detail:
Amaura was female.
During the battle, she made multiple physical contacts with Sylveon—but was not affected by Cute Charm.
Probability played a role, of course.
But after careful examination, Sora confird her gender.
"Feels like the team is getting a bit female-heavy," he joked.
Still, he didn't care much about gender balance.
He treated Ursaluna—his male powerhouse—with just as much attention and respect.
What mattered wasn't male or female.
What mattered was whether they belonged.
And now—
Amaura did.
