"Y-you… hello."
Ogerpon waved timidly, trying to get Pangoro's attention.
"Pfft."
The Pangoro in front of them chewed on a blade of grass, glanced sideways at her, and showed pure disdain.
Then it spat on the ground right at Ogerpon's feet.
The ssage was obvious:
Who are you? Get lost.
"Uh…"
Ogerpon felt awkward.
She wasn't angry.
Her temperant was genuinely gentle.
Unless Sora was involved, she was like an innocent, well-behaved girl.
Even when openly provoked like this, she didn't lash out.
"May we ask you sothing?"
"Scram."
Pangoro ignored her completely.
Not attacking them already counted as generosity in its mind.
"Mm…"
Ogerpon panicked slightly, unsure how to handle the situation.
The big guy wouldn't listen.
And he looked dangerous.
What if he suddenly attacks?
"Buneary…"
With no other choice, she turned to Buneary for help.
Ogerpon felt useless— rejected after just one sentence.
"Please don't be angry. We only want to ask about Lord Volcanion's whereabouts."
Buneary stepped forward carefully.
She didn't dare block Pangoro.
Anyone could tell he was strong—far beyond her level.
"Tch."
Pangoro's patience ran out.
He had already ignored these two weaklings.
Yet they kept pestering him.
Annoying.
"Get lost!"
The ntion of Volcanion stirred unpleasant mories.
Irritation surged instantly.
Without warning, Pangoro swung his arm—
Slash.
Wild Pokémon often worked like that.
One mont calm.
The next, violence.
Sora had t many friendly Pokémon on his journey.
But forests also held creatures like this—
temperantal, aggressive, unpredictable.
And today, Ogerpon and Buneary had run into one.
"Boom!"
Buneary froze in fear.
Her strength wasn't actually low—mid-30s in level, theoretically close to Pangoro.
But she had never trained for combat.
She was a cook.
Not a fighter.
The glowing white claw descended—
Yet it never reached her.
"Bo-ni!"
Ogerpon stepped in front of Buneary.
She raised one hand—
and effortlessly stopped the attack.
"What?"
Pangoro stared in disbelief.
Ogerpon stood there calmly, like a reef against crashing waves.
No matter how much force he applied—
she didn't move an inch.
"So weak."
Ogerpon evaluated the strike silently.
Compared to Ursaluna's attacks?
Not even close.
She didn't possess Victini's precise energy-reading ability.
But after traveling with Sora and battling many Pokémon, she had developed her own internal scale.
Buneary: Level 34
Eevee before evolution: ~47
Sylveon now: just over 50
Ursaluna: Level 83 and still climbing
During sparring sessions, Ogerpon needed to activate her special buffs just to face Ursaluna head-on.
If Ursaluna's casual strike felt like a typhoon—
Then Pangoro's?
"A re breeze," she said, mimicking Sora's speaking style.
"Not worth a single hair of Ursaluna."
That line completely enraged Pangoro.
"You dare look down on ?!"
"Die!"
He knew he hadn't used full strength.
He only wanted to scare the little creature.
But now—
the hand he tried to pull back wouldn't move.
"What's happening?"
He realized too late.
Ogerpon had grabbed him.
"Too fragile."
Before he could react, she applied force.
Then—
Over-the-shoulder throw.
"BOOM!!"
His massive body traced a perfect arc through the air—
and slamd into the ground behind her.
The impact traveled through every limb.
One strike.
Just one.
He lost the ability to move.
No technique.
No elental energy.
Just raw strength.
"Level 45," Ogerpon muttered, recalling Sora's words.
"That's about the limit for non-boss wild Pokémon."
She might struggle with conversation—
But in battle?
Fear didn't exist.
Ogerpon was terrifyingly strong.
"So cool!"
Buneary's eyes sparkled brighter than Ogerpon's starry gaze.
"Ponpon, you're amazing!"
She bounced excitedly beside her friend, then looked at the defeated Pangoro lying on the ground, staring blankly at the sky.
"Is he… okay?"
"He's fine," Ogerpon replied.
"I held back."
Held back?
You call that holding back?!
Pangoro felt like crying.
He had lost.
Completely.
Without suspense.
He couldn't comprehend how such a small body contained such monstrous power.
But after experiencing it firsthand—he understood one thing clearly.
This creature is a monster.
Suddenly, he rembered Volcanion.
His bad mood had started after a recent battle.
A battle that looked almost identical to this one.
He had challenged Volcanion with everything he had.
The result?
One move.
A casual one.
Then darkness.
Under that terrifying white steam storm, he lost consciousness instantly.
When he woke, his entire body burned with pain.
"You…"
Pangoro looked at Ogerpon with new fear.
"You're a monster… just like that one."
"Bo-ni?"
Being called a monster made Ogerpon frown.
She clenched her small fist—
clearly considering giving him another lesson.
