"Stop!"
Pangoro panicked and imdiately surrendered.
"I give up!"
"Can you talk properly now?"
Ogerpon's tone carried clear dissatisfaction.
He could ignore her.
He could disrespect her.
She wouldn't have cared much.
After all, they had been the ones to disturb his rest.
But—
He had tried to hurt Buneary.
That crossed the line.
Nothing triggered Ogerpon faster than seeing her companions threatened.
Social anxiety? Shyness? None of that mattered anymore.
The mont danger appeared—
Kitakami's little Kaido woke up.
And Pangoro got slamd into the ground.
"Alright… alright."
Pangoro slowly climbed to his feet, body aching all over, feeling as if his bones had been shaken loose.
His suspicion was now confird.
The small creature in front of him—was on the sa level as Volcanion.
A being whose strength simply didn't make sense.
"What do you want to know?"
"Hmm?"
Buneary tilted her head.
She noticed sothing subtle.
He hadn't said I don't know.
He had said What do you want to know.
"You've seen Volcanion?"
"Yeah."
After that beating, Pangoro was completely obedient.
"Two days ago… I challenged him."
"Mi!"
"Bo-ni!"
The two little ones exchanged excited looks.
Progress!
"Do you know where Volcanion is now?" Buneary asked quickly.
Pangoro instinctively wanted to sneer again.
But then he saw Ogerpon's sparkling eyes—and imdiately shrank his neck, answering politely.
"I t him near the lake on that mountain."
"But whether he's still there… I don't know."
With that information secured, Ogerpon and Buneary wasted no ti and headed straight for the location.
They didn't leave Pangoro any food or dicine.
They had only asked a question.
He had attacked first.
Soone like that didn't deserve kindness.
After the two left, Pangoro lay there resting.
Then a thought hit him.
Wait…
That monster—she's not going to challenge Volcanion too, is she?
"No way."
He jumped up imdiately.
"I have to see this!"
Pokémon like him lived for battle.
His earlier challenge to Volcanion had co from pure confidence.
Reality, however, had slapped him hard.
Against Volcanion—even the strongest bosses of the plateau would fall in a single move.
Now another monster had appeared.
If those two fought—
What a spectacle that would be.
Watching a clash between titans would be worth dying for!
Wild Pokémon sotis had a bit of battle-maniac energy in them.
And the Nebel Plateau, with its rich environnt, produced many such fighters.
Territorial bosses fought constantly.
Strength ruled.
Volcanion stood above them all.
He didn't even bother claiming territory.
The entire plateau was his domain.
Below him were powerful individuals like Pangoro—fully evolved Pokémon who had walked far down the path of strength but hadn't yet crossed the Level 50 threshold.
Now, a mysterious powerhouse had entered Volcanion's sphere.
A clash felt inevitable.
Ignoring his injuries, Pangoro hurried after Ogerpon and Buneary.
He kept his distance, trailing them quietly.
They noticed him.
They simply didn't care.
The gap in strength was too large.
No sche mattered in the face of absolute power.
Interestingly, along the way, they encountered more strong Pokémon like Pangoro.
These ones didn't attack.
They noticed Pangoro following.
They asked questions.
And once they heard the story—
Everything escalated.
"A foreign powerhouse is here to challenge for territory?!"
"We have to witness this!"
"Seriously? She's that strong?"
"One move and you were down?"
"..."
More and more Pokémon gathered behind Ogerpon.
Curiosity spread like wildfire.
A few confident fighters even stepped forward to challenge her directly.
Ogerpon found it incredibly frustrating.
She began to suspect the Pokémon of the Nebel Plateau had so kind of problem.
They kept lining up—just to get knocked down.
Then they'd jump up shouting:
"So strong! Terrifying strength!"
And run back to share their defeat stories with the others.
"So annoying."
Another Pokémon blocked her path.
That was the last straw.
Ogerpon turned around and marched to the front of the growing crowd.
"You all!"
She scanned the group:
Chesnaught
Delphox
Greninja
Talonfla
Hawlucha
Trevenant
Noivern
Just by sensing their aura, she roughly estimated their strength.
Most were between Level 40 and 50.
The strongest—
Three fully evolved starter Pokémon.
Each above Level 55, clearly boss-tier.
Ironically, the very starters Sora had been hoping to find—had been drawn here by Ogerpon instead.
Even so, he wouldn't have caught them.
Fully evolved Pokémon had largely spent their potential.
Investing resources in them wasn't efficient.
And besides—
What parent brought their children along just to forage?
"What do you actually want?"
"Why are you following us?"
Ogerpon genuinely didn't recognize these Pokémon.
If she had known they were the famous Kalos starters, she probably would have happily rushed to tell Sora she found the ones he wanted.
But in her eyes—
Delphox and Greninja looked no different from Pangoro.
Just a bunch of suspicious strangers trailing behind her like weirdos.
