Being stared at by Ogerpon, the lord- and boss-level Pokémon felt genuine pressure.
They had no choice.
The creature before them had just casually suppressed a Level 59 Delphox.
Even with type disadvantage, she had still knocked it flying with a single strike.
That level of power was terrifying.
Could Volcanion do the sa?
Maybe.
But none of them had seen it personally.
Ogerpon's strength, on the other hand—
They had witnessed with their own eyes.
Well… if that could even be called a battle.
"What do we do?"
"S-she looks angry…"
"What terrifying presence. Is this the pressure of a true powerhouse?"
The group exchanged uneasy glances.
Normally Delphox would step forward—she was the strongest among them.
But she had just been flattened monts ago.
That staff strike…
She suspected she would never forget it for the rest of her life.
So small.
Yet when it hit, it felt like her soul had been shattered.
Pain.
Unprecedented pain.
She didn't even feel comfortable bragging about her achievents anymore.
Highland overlord?
More like one-hit knockout material.
"You—you go."
"Why don't you go?"
"Hey, hurry, she's coming!"
After so shoving and whispering, the unlucky scapegoat was pushed forward.
Pangoro.
After all, he had started this whole ss.
Ti to take responsibility.
"You bunch of traitors…"
Pangoro cursed under his breath.
But Ogerpon was already right in front of him.
He had no choice.
"H-hear out, boss lady!"
"Boss lady?"
Ogerpon blinked, confused by the title.
Her Ivy Cudgel materialized in her hand.
The surrounding Pokémon instinctively stepped back.
Leaving Pangoro standing alone in the spotlight.
Very conspicuous.
"Flattery won't work on ," Ogerpon said.
At that mont, Pangoro wanted to scream at the crowd behind him.
Where's your dignity as bosses?!
You sold out this poor, helpless panda without hesitation.
"Not flattery!" Pangoro protested.
"Your strength has earned my absolute respect!"
Behind him, the whispers started imdiately.
"So shaless."
"So 'Pangoro.' Total coward."
"Pathetic."
Veins bulged on Pangoro's forehead.
If Ogerpon hadn't been there, he would have charged the crowd on the spot.
"So…?"
Ogerpon looked puzzled and turned to Buneary for help translating.
Unfortunately, Buneary was overwheld.
Being surrounded by so many boss-level Pokémon was intense.
Even breathing felt heavy.
"Boss lady," Pangoro continued carefully, "Are you looking for Lord Volcanion to challenge him?"
Ogerpon paused.
She thought for a mont—then nodded.
There was no reason to deny it.
Sora had co to the Nebel Plateau to recruit mythical Pokémon.
Magearna might be persuaded peacefully.
But Volcanion?
According to Sora—
A battle was inevitable.
And when that happened—
Ogerpon would absolutely be on the front line.
So yes.
She had co here to fight.
"I knew it!" Pangoro exclaid.
He quickly explained why he and the others had gathered.
They weren't here to interfere.
They were here to watch.
To witness the clash.
A spectacle.
A historic fight.
After hearing this, Ogerpon was stunned.
What kind of battle-crazy behavior is this?
Do you all really love fighting that much?
Still…
She didn't mind being watched during battle.
What annoyed her was the constant interruptions along the road.
New challengers popping up every few minutes.
It was exhausting.
Then—
An idea struck her.
"Alright."
Ogerpon suddenly looked at the group.
"Fight ."
"???"
Before they could react, she clarified:
"All of you. Together."
"If you lose, you'll help clear the path ahead."
By "clear the path," she didn't an harm anyone.
They would simply explain things to other Pokémon—so she wouldn't have to keep fighting every ti soone blocked the road.
That would be way too troubleso.
"All of us… together?"
"She wants to fight everyone at once?"
"That's unbelievably arrogant…"
"Even legendary Pokémon shouldn't look down on us like this!"
The statent ignited instant outrage.
Even Pangoro and the still-aching Delphox felt offended.
"One, two, three, four…"
Ogerpon ignored their reactions and calmly counted.
"Twelve total."
She tightened her grip on her weapon.
"Let's begin."
Two Ivy Cudgels appeared—one in each hand.
Her fighting spirit surged.
"Consider this a warm-up before facing Volcanion."
"Warm-up?!"
"Too arrogant!"
"How dare she humiliate us!"
"Take her down!!!"
And so—
In the forest clearing—
A full-scale battle erupted.
Twelve lord- and boss-level Pokémon launched a coordinated assault.
Buneary could only retreat to a safe distance, watching anxiously.
She knew Ogerpon was strong.
But she had never witnessed her true power before.
Not the battles against the Loyal Three.
Not the sparring with Ursaluna.
Now, seeing it firsthand—
She stood frozen in awe.
Ivy Cudgel.
Ivy Cudgel.
Still Ivy Cudgel.
Green mask.
Red mask.
Blue mask.
Ogerpon moved with unbelievable agility.
Every strike carried unstoppable force.
Attacks shattered.
Defenses ignored.
Even without Sora's commands—
She was still the tyrant of Kitakami.
Charging forward.
Unstoppable.
Invincible.
Almost no Pokémon could withstand a single blow.
Critical hits landed again and again.
Opponents tried to inflict status effects—only to make her stronger.
And amid this chaotic lee—
Her powerful combat instincts evolved further.
She began switching masks faster and faster.
Fluidly.
Seamlessly.
Like breathing.
