"Leaving at a ti like this?"

Jarvis had always kept a close watch on Princess Kimia.

He had co to the Azoth Kingdom for one purpose: the legacy of the mysterious scientist Alva from 500 years ago—specifically, Magearna's Soul-Heart.

An artificial soul.

An artificial Pokémon.

There was no doubt such technology held enormous potential.

Not to ntion, Magearna's Soul-Heart itself was a trendous source of power.

If that kind of core could be mass-produced and installed into an aerial fortress, the energy released could easily flatten the entire Nebel Plateau in an instant.

After extensive investigation, Jarvis had already determined the location of the aerial fortress.

It was hidden within the very walls that ford the Azoth Kingdom.

Now, all that remained was to find Magearna, extract the Soul-Heart from her chest, activate the fortress—

And then completely conquer the nation.

"Let's see… where has Her Highness gone?"

Jarvis opened a virtual display in front of him and quickly locked onto Kimia's location.

"What's that?"

In the next mont, he noticed the unusual scene unfolding on the plateau.

A massive number of Pokémon were gathering together and moving in a single direction.

Since arriving in the Azoth Kingdom, this was the first ti Jarvis had seen anything like it.

Pokémon on the Nebel Plateau generally fell into two categories.

The first were native Pokémon.

Nothing special about them—most of the Pokémon Sora had encountered belonged to this group.

The second category consisted of those who had been hard by humans in the past, causing them to beco extrely distrustful and fearful of people.

The Pokémon League constantly promoted harmony between humans and Pokémon.

But human nature was complicated.

Not everyone, like Ash or Sora, viewed Pokémon as pure, lovable beings equal to humans.

To so people, Pokémon were rely tools or toys.

When they got bored—

They discarded them.

They never realized how deeply such actions wounded the simple, sincere hearts of Pokémon.

Jarvis unquestionably belonged to that category.

He believed himself superior—born to rule others, even the world itself.

Pokémon?

Common people?

Compared to his power and status, they were worthless.

"This direction…"

"These Pokémon are heading here."

Using calculations, Jarvis quickly deduced their destination: a mountain valley lake where an ancient ring-shaped tree stood.

"Doka. Yisha."

"Yes, sir."

"Your orders, Lord Jarvis."

Doka and Yisha were Jarvis's subordinates.

Both possessed the strength of elite Trainers—arguably stronger than Brock, whom Sora had previously encountered.

"Follow Princess Kimia," Jarvis instructed.

"Find out what she intends to do."

Then he added:

"Oh, and bring that along."

"Although it's still under developnt, it shouldn't cause problems in the short term. This will be a perfect opportunity to test it."

What Jarvis referred to was a special thod he had developed—one that could push a Pokémon's power even further.

At this ti, most professors were still in the early stages of researching ga Evolution.

But within the Azoth Kingdom, Jarvis had already discovered that Pokémon could undergo another evolution when exposed to a certain wavelength.

No need for a corresponding ga Stone.

No limitation of one ga Evolution per Trainer.

As long as they remained within the territory of the Azoth Kingdom, Jarvis could force Pokémon to ga Evolve.

Of course, this kind of forced evolution caused imnse harm.

The suffering inflicted on the Pokémon was unimaginable.

It could permanently damage their potential—

Even shorten their lifespan.

But what did that matter to him?

They were just Pokémon.

If they died, he could simply capture more.

Or buy them from the black market.

To achieve his goals, expendable lives were plentiful.

"…Understood."

The two subordinates hesitated slightly.

Unlike Jarvis, they still had so attachnt to their Pokémon.

Every ti he conducted an experint, the pain on their partners' faces was hard to watch.

Still, they were bounty hunters.

Different from ordinary Trainers, many of their Pokémon had been obtained through black-market deals.

Their emotional bonds were far weaker than those of typical Trainers.

As a result, their Pokémon felt fear toward them—

Not trust or companionship.

Jarvis had anticipated this.

That was why he had specifically developed a device to control Pokémon.

This mission would serve as the perfect field test.

"Go," Jarvis said.

"I hope you don't disappoint ."

Doka and Yisha set off.

Jarvis remained behind, continuing to observe the distant events through his monitors.

Soon, he identified the center of the disturbance.

It was a small green Pokémon resembling a human girl.

She walked at the very front of the procession, surrounded by countless others, radiating overwhelming presence.

"What kind of Pokémon is this?"

Jarvis zood in on Ogerpon's image, studying her carefully.

"A strange mask… looks like a Grass type. Could it be from another region?"

Many Pokémon abandoned by Trainers ended up on the Nebel Plateau.

Soone bringing a Pokémon from another region and abandoning it here was nothing unusual.

Still, even Jarvis couldn't figure out what made this little creature special enough to command such loyalty.

I don't understand…

He couldn't see through Ogerpon.

Nor could he grasp what was truly happening.

And he wasn't alone.

Princess Kimia was equally puzzled.

"What are they doing?"

Kimia released her own Pokémon— a shiny Gardevoir.

"Gardevoir, do you know?"

"Gardevoir…"

The Pokémon shook her head in confusion as well.

She decided to go take a closer look.

"…Alright," Kimia said after a brief hesitation.

"But be careful."

"Gardevoir!"

She had confidence in her own strength.

If Victini had been present, she could have asured Gardevoir's level.

It would have been slightly below Sora's Lilligant—

Level 62.

A level like that was no joke.

Excluding Elite Four mbers and Champions, even among officially recognized Gym Leaders, many did not possess Pokémon that strong.

Especially younger Gym Leaders who had only recently inherited their positions— their strongest Pokémon might barely reach level 50.
