Now reading: Chapter 63 63: Recovery from Pokemon: Bounty Hunter, a Action novel by Takeiteasy.

After a brief hesitation, Silas decided to let it go.

Although it was another 2v2 battle, sending out Roggenrola and Combusken would also have a high chance of victory. However, the priority right now was to complete the evolutions of both Pokémon.

With that in mind, Silas left Brock another ssage: "Help ask your uncle after Roggenrola evolves into Boldore, should I wait so ti before evolving it into Gigalith, or can I just trade it right away without waiting for the right timing?"

Even though he already knew the answer, he still needed to play dumb a little.

Including the courier reward promised by Brock if he won the championship, Silas currently had just over 11 million Pokédollars.

That definitely wasn't enough, so in the coming days, he'd need to find a way to make more money.

His head felt a little heavy. After resting for a week, his thoughts were still a bit unclear, and his reactions were a bit sluggish.

Forget it better to rest for now and deal with it tomorrow morning.

Half-asleep, he lay on the bed, and soon, Silas drifted into dreamland.

The Night Passed Quietly

Early the next morning, Silas completed his usual morning workout and, at the sa ti, sent the Leaf Stone to Brock.

While jogging around the city, he discovered that Vermilion City, this port town, had quite a few interesting places.

For example, he passed by the entrance of a facility where a large banner was hanging:

"Pokémon Ping Pong! A doubles match played by Trainers and their Pokémon—co and join the fun!"

It looked like a ping pong training center.

It was sothing novel this was the first ti Silas had seen the sport of ping pong exist in this world.

Outside Vermilion City's Pokémon school, there was also a banner advertising a Pokémon orienteering race.

It had to be said, because of how widespread Pokémon were in this world, even though not everyone could beco a true Trainer, most people still had their own Pokémon.

However, due to lack of training and natural talent, the Pokémon that most people owned were generally very weak.

That didn't stop people from creating all sorts of activities centered around these miraculous creatures.

Perhaps it was precisely because of this that people and Pokémon could live together so harmoniously.

Even though so remote wild areas still operated under the law of the jungle, within cities under the League's jurisdiction, people lived quite happily.

As he passed by a house with a naplate reading "Sakuragi," Silas turned a corner at the intersection and headed straight for the Bounty Hunter Center.

After carefully picking a mission, he used his upgraded access level to take on a B-rank task worth 300,000 Pokédollars.

He confird that if he completed five more B-rank missions, his own Hunter Rank would be promoted to B-rank as well.

According to the Nurse Joy's benefits system, at that point he'd be able to accept up to three B-rank missions at once, which would greatly increase his earning speed.

As for A-rank missions, that was a tier far beyond his current capabilities. Besides, even in a big city, A-rank missions didn't appear often maybe once a year.

For most bounty hunters, B-rank and lower long-term missions were their main source of inco.

He flagged down a Dodrio that had stopped nearby, swiped his card for the ride, and asked it to take him to the outskirts of the city.

Silas then tossed out Pidgeot's Poké Ball and secured himself onto its talons, letting it fly toward his destination.

After "slowly" flying for about seven or eight minutes, Silas spotted a stretch of cliffs and coastline.

This was Routes 24 and 25.

Also known as the White Cape, it was the northeastern tip of the Kanto Region, nad for its pure white sands.

It was also a popular tourist destination—many couples chose to go on dates here.

If the ani was to be believed, this would eventually be taken over by Professor Bill to summon the mysterious shadow giant Dragonite.

But in this world, that seed unlikely.

Because this area was a well-known outdoor training ground among Trainers, and had already developed into sothing of a small town with complete facilities, it was hard to imagine it being restricted.

Even if Professor Bill tried to claim this area for himself, he couldn't just block access for all Trainers it would cause widespread backlash.

After all, Bill was born in Goldenrod City, not even from the Kanto region, which already created a sense of distance.

Most likely, he would only be able to claim a corner of the cliff to build his lighthouse.

Whether that would actually happen remained to be seen. Silas gave a pat to Pidgeot's talon.

Understanding the signal, Pidgeot began a slow descent.

Landing at the designated landing zone, Silas unfastened his safety harness. After thanking Pidgeot, he returned it to its Poké Ball.

Trainers were coming and going in large numbers all around him.

Many of them had arrived by Flying-type Pokémon, and Pidgeotto was among the more common choices.

However, Silas's Pidgeot was quite rare. Its appearance was also extrely striking.

A few people turned their attention toward him—he looked like he was pretty strong.

Just as he was about to leave, a Charizard landed nearby with its Trainer on its back.

The surrounding people imdiately cast envious glances in that direction.

Charizard, being one of the Kanto starter Pokémon, represented strength once fully evolved. A Charizard reaching its final form ant it was a powerful pokemon.

Not to ntion, Charizard had a cool and stylish appearance many people saw it as their dream Pokémon.

Silas quickly walked out of the landing zone. He had no ti to admire others. He figured he'd be staying in this area for a while.

His main objective was to prepare for evolutions, and he could take the opportunity to train Pidgeot well in the anti.

Looking around, the place was bustling with people.

Most of the buildings were wooden structures, located so distance away from the shoreline.

Shops, Pokémon Centers, inns, battle facilities everything was available. There was even a branch of the Bounty Hunter Center here.

He wasn't sure if the missions offered here were as nurous as those in the city.

Just in case there weren't any B-rank tasks here, Silas had taken one beforehand so his ti wouldn't be wasted.

Besides, with Pidgeot's flying speed, a round trip only took about twenty minutes. For the sake of earning money, he could tough it out and deal with his fear of heights.

After entering the Pokémon Center, he booked a room for two weeks fourteen days. That was where he'd be spending the next half month.

After tossing his things into the room, Silas felt much more relaxed. Taking only three Poké Balls and his Trainer ID, he set out to explore the town.

He still had to wait for the various training materials he had asked Brock to purchase and send over. Those probably wouldn't arrive until the afternoon.

Taking advantage of the morning, he wanted to get a sense of the surrounding area and terrain so he'd be better prepared to operate in this place.

Even though he had already checked out so information on the Pokémon forums, most of the posts there were vague. They simply said this was a great place to train.

But in what way it was ideal, no one explained clearly.

Silas asked Nurse Joy for an information pamphlet and began reading through it.
