The ten trainers withdrew their respective Pokémon and stood in a line, listening to Jin's instructions.

"Was it because of arrogance?"

A soft voice erged from within the crowd.

Jin shook his head. "That's just a minor issue. Everyone experiences pride. For soone like Cynthia to have reached this level of strength at her age—back when I was her age, even I hadn't managed it—it's honestly unpredictable. If I were in your shoes, I probably wouldn't have believed it either.

In fact, you all handled it quite well. Even in that situation, you didn't completely lose your composure."

He swept his gaze over the ten of them. "Your real issue lies in not being decisive enough during battle."

"Decisive?" The group looked puzzled.

"Though you all have plenty of experience with standard battlefield matches, and your knowledge is quite extensive thanks to years of study, that sa training has limited the way you think."

Jin opened the laptop in his hand, which looked quite small compared to him.

"All ten of you have registered as bounty hunters, haven't you?"

Everyone nodded. While they didn't need the money, they'd signed up out of curiosity.

"I took a look—your bounty hunter ranks are all stuck at E-Class, which ans you've done nothing since registering."

He opened the backend system and, just as he expected, confird the data.

That was to be expected—students in the academy wouldn't have focused on that area before. This was precisely one of the reasons they had temporary instructors like him after becoming advanced students and before graduation.

Of course, in general, bounty hunter registration data is confidential. Ordinary people wouldn't be able to access it. But Jin was no ordinary person. Broadly speaking, the bounty hunter network was one of the institutions he helped manage.

He was also one of the few people with top-level access to the system.

Moreover, the academy had relevant records as well.

"Let give you a heads-up: your future graduation requirent will be to complete at least five A-Class missions, with a success rate of no less than 80%."

Jin spoke sternly as he looked at the ten confused students.

They had no idea what completing five A-Class missions with an 80% success rate actually ant. Only when they experienced it firsthand would they realize how troubleso it really was.

A-Class missions weren't like B-Class or lower-level tasks. And that 80% completion rate wasn't nearly as simple as it sounded.

Not everyone could achieve a terrifying 95% mission success rate like Silas.

"Back to your earlier performance—why do I say you weren't decisive enough?"

Suddenly, Cynthia's voice cut in. "Roserade, Vine Whip."

A humanoid bouquet-like Pokémon quietly appeared. From the blue and red flower arms on its sides, several vine whips lashed out, capturing the ten students in the blink of an eye and hoisting them high into the air.

The ten had just been wondering about Jin's words when they found their bodies restrained before they could react.

So of them instinctively tried to struggle and resist, only to be bound even tighter.

Yezo responded the fastest. The mont he was bound, he sensed sothing was wrong and instinctively pulled out his Poké Ball.

However, Roserade's vines instantly snatched the Poké Ball from his hand and wrapped it up tightly.

Jin paid no attention to the slight chaos unfolding in front of him and continued speaking calmly, "The reason I say you weren't decisive is because when Cynthia provoked you into battling, you should've imdiately released your Pokémon to restrain her. Only after doing that should you have expressed your anger.

Especially since you had already released your Pokémon why didn't you command them to stop her from sending out Garchomp?

Also, when I told you to release your ace Pokémon, you each only sent out one. Who told you that a trainer can only have one ace? Why can't all your Pokémon be your aces?

The mont she said 'All ten of you co at together,' the battle had already moved beyond standard 6-vs-6 rules."

"Have any of you thought about what happens if your only Pokémon gets defeated? How are you going to protect yourselves then?"

"And finally—after I finished healing your Pokémon, you just returned them to their Poké Balls? Did anyone officially declare that the battle was over?"

Of course, there was a bit of concept-shifting in what Jin was saying. After all, Cynthia was still their teacher. It wasn't realistic to expect the students to actually act the way Jin described toward her.

That was sothing beyond their control.Jin didn't have the ti to explain such tedious logic to this group of kids. Their official instructors would eventually hamr these points into them later.

Besides, once they began carrying out their graduation missions, they'd co to understand it deeply—perhaps even fatally. So of them might die during those missions.

But that was just the norm. Their seniors went through the sa thing every year. If they wanted to grow stronger, there was always a price to pay

Jin had long since placed life and death out of mind. These children—destined to beco the backbone of the Pokémon League—would inevitably have to undergo such tempering.

What followed was a mory Yezo wished he could erase. He shuddered and shook himself from his thoughts, returning to his training.

Cynthia didn't say anything more either. She slowly drifted into a daze, murmuring to herself, "Hmm... What should I eat tonight? Ice cream with oden, maybe? Or perhaps…"

On the other side of the academy, Silas was still in the middle of teaching his class.

"According to the latest research by Professor Birch of the Hoenn region, all Grass-type Pokémon are immune to powder-based moves. That's also why they remain unaffected when they use powder-based moves themselves."

"Previously, we believed it was due to the Pokémon's own control over energy and moves, but that's not the case."

"Following this theory, when it cos to raising Grass-types, we should consider focusing on what are commonly known as the 'Three Powders': Poison Powder, Stun Spore, and Sleep Powder."

"Our Kanto region starter, Bulbasaur—who eventually evolves into Venusaur—is very well suited to this type of training early on."

"Your howork for today is this: If we want to raise a Bulbasaur with a focus on the Three Powders, what kinds of materials will be needed? What are the reasons for selecting those materials? And what are the interactions between them?"

"Based on this topic, write up a breeding plan and submit it to during tomorrow afternoon's class. I'll review and give you my feedback on the spot."

The children groaned in unison. It was clearly not going to be an easy assignnt.

Silas closed his lesson plan and prepared to leave the classroom.

"Professor!" a girl's voice called from behind.

"It's Shōta Yutō,, right? Do you have a question?"

Silas was kind, especially since Shōta Yutō, had perford well during class. It wasn't surprising that she would eventually beco a top student.

With a stiff little face, a far cry from her usual deanor, Shota asked her question.
