I was about to release Pidgeot and leave, had just turned around in fact cradling Togepi in one arm, fingers flexed for Rotom to deposite a pokeball into my palm, when I paused.

A thought occurred, looking over my shoulder at the massive tree my new Venusaur had dwelled within.

…What if?

What if there was a ga stone here? So far, the two I'd found, had appeared in spots where a certain species had congregated in large numbers, or had been there for a long ti.

This place counted as both.

I set Togepi atop my head as I turned around fully and made my way over, climbing up the large tree base platform at the front of it, and made my way inside.

It was quite dark, and surprisingly big from what I could see.

"Rotom, light." I said, holding my hand up. A mont later, a torch light lit up from the gauntlet and illuminated the area.

The inside was fully dug out I noted, looking up. Or rather, hollowed out I mused looking up that had been cut away to give more room, up a good thirty feet, and the walls of it, were roughly hewn as if sheared by a blade.

Most likely by Razor Leaf.

Beyond that, there was nothing else much to see beyond a massive bed of leaves, grass and flowers in the centre of the room.

And there, sitting innocently right in the centre of the bed, was a small, glittering spherical gem. It glowed a light teal, while within it, a twisting helix of dark green and red.

I practically felt my eyes light up, "Knew it!" I pumped my fist, jostling Togepi and making him fist my hair to keep balance with a chirping giggle.

Walking over, I picked it up and held it up, "Did you not say these were supposed to be incredibly rare?" Rotom humd, "As in, people dedicate years just to finding one of them to use, and you have co across three in a month. And each one would be worth a fortune?"

"Yep," I licked my lips, holding the ga stone above my head, admiring the beautiful stone, "There's a bunch of theories where they co from. Ranging from the ancient weapon used in Kalos three thousand years ago and brought about by the legendary pokemon Xerneas blessing evolution stones, or that they ca from space, falling as teors."

"So nobody really knows then?" Rotom snorted, "Just a bunch of silly conjecture?"

Not quite, because I knew both were technically correct. Going by the gas. But, taking Rayquaza's mikado organ into consideration, I had a theory.

And as I am the awesotacular Jord of chadly destiny, it is probably correct.

ga stones were simply rock formations, a lot like evolution stones, that contained excess energy, that when exposed to the aura of a species of pokemon over ti, or an absurdly large amount of it in a short ti, the power within the stone would be influenced and warp and mutate, becoming a ga stone compatible with that species of pokemon.

"Isn't that what all scientific theories are to start with?" I humd, having Rotom store it away in the gauntlet storage space, and turning away, hands clasped behind my head as I walked out, hopping off the ledge onto the grass once more.

"I suppose…" Rotom huffed.

I shook my head. They were on the right track either way, and it wasn't really the scientists fault, that they didn't know the specifics of aura, few people did. Most just thought it was sothing only the likes of a Lucario could manipulate, when that was factually wrong.

…Maybe I'll bring it up when I visit Kalos and et Professor Sycamore. 'I'm pretty sure he's got a key stone and a Charizardite Y that he gave to that Trevor kid.' I mused.

Nothing else made sense on how he got it. Granted, how Sawyer got a Sceptilite didn't make sense either. He just turned up randomly with it. Even Brock and Misty just randomly had them, even though they were both utter scrubs in the main tiline.

Though I had a good idea where I could find one.

Well, whatever, it was ti to go now.

'Goodbye Kanto, I'll see you later.' I smirked as I had Pidgeot's luxury ball deposited into my palm and released him, climbing onto his back, and taking off into the air monts later.

Leaving Kanto behind, for the foreseeable future.

I'll be back though.

My sweet ass pad is being built in Kanto after all.

_________

There was a cheerful hum on Lance's lips as he entered his office. In his hands, he cradled the incubation pod, containing the grey egg of a pokemon he'd dread about for so long.

'Jord really should learn to haggle better, I'd have given ten tis that for one of these, if it ca to it.' Lance thought as he set it on his desk, running his hand gently over the top of the incubation pod, almost as if it would break at the slightest touch.

Even though he knew pokemon eggs were far from that fragile, he'd seen dragon types knocking their eggs off of twenty foot drops onto pure ground and they'd been absolutely fine.

"Good thing he didn't though, I'd have been cleared out." Lance laughed a little, shaking his head as he let go of the pod and collapsed onto his huge, plush comfy office chair.

Well, not quite, but it would have drained a massive chunk of his funds. Last he checked, his savings were just a little over three billion currently.

He felt a little guilty to be honest, but he comforted himself with the thought that Jord was vastly more talented and richer now than he was at his age.

"Which reminds ," Lance swirled around in his chair to face the multitude of computer screens on his desk, "Jord did say he caught sothing earlier I wouldn't believe didn't he?"

That made him curious. The boy had literally caught three legendary pokemon, and he believed that.

What could he have captured that truly that shocking.

Booting up his computer, it wasn't long before he was bringing up Jord's specific trainer page profile.

He scrolled down to his latest catch and blinked, "Huh a Venusaur?" he noted the latest capture.

Well, he did say he knew where a Venusaur was now that he'd given up his plans for that Bulbasaur he told him about 'Which reminds , I'm going to the orange islands after I have so breakfast.' Lance nodded to himself.

He had a pokemon abusing cunt of a mayor to deal with.

Still, that was incredibly quick of him, they hadn't parted ways that long ago. shaking his head, Lance brought up Jord's second latest capture, the one he'd have been talking about then.

The picture of a towering serpentine black scaled dragon pokemon stared back at him.

Lance blinked, "…Eh?" he uttered, head tilting to the side.

No…that couldn't be right.

He rubbed his eyes and looked again.

"No…it's still there." Lance licked his lips, nodding to himself, "That really is a Rayquaza…a black one."

Alternative coloured pokemon were not unheard of, while they weren't exactly common, they popped up here and there, scientists were of the opinion that every one in ten thousand or so pokemon had the chance of being born with an alternate colour.

And Jord now had one of those pokemon.

A Rayquaza at that.

Lance nodded to himself, "Well…that sure is sothing." he mused.

Then his eyes rolled up into the back of his head, and he passed out from sheer shock.

____________

"Looking at this, it should only be about another hour and a half, maybe two hours before we get there." I mused, looking down at the map displayed on Rotom's screen.

High above the clouds, riding atop Pidgeot's back, we'd already bypassed the island where I caught my Blastoise, and all my squirtle and wartortle, and further, passing by Cinnabar Island a good fifteen minutes ago.

We were out in the vast open ocean waters between regions now. Generally speaking, beyond heading towards the Orange Islands, the only land between and it now, were so of the Delacour Islands and so completely un-inhabited islands nobody had docunted anything about in decades.

'Hmm…' I pressed two fingers on the screen and used them to pull down on the map, zooming in on one of the last Delacour islands.

Specifically the one where I knew a shiny Druddigon resided on. One that would eventually be captured by Lance's cousin Claire.

Tempting.

But….no.

The only real draw of it for , was that it was shiny. And, I'd already decided to try and distance myself a bit from going manic with catching and collecting pokemon.

I'd co to love it regardless, but it wasn't fair to Druddigon itself that I only wanted it because it was different colored from a normal Druddigon.

I'm trying to be a better guy.

….Hypocritical I know considering I'm going after an Onix because it was made of crystal. But, I'd made up my mind to catch that guy way back.

Plus, an onix made up entirely of crystal, is entirely different from a pokemon simply being a different colour. The thing may as well have been an entirely different species of pokemon considering what I assud of its typing and abilities.

Abruptly, Pidgeot let out a sharp cry and flared his wings, jolting out of my thoughts. I tightened my grip and made sure Togepi was secure just as a blinding flash lit up the horizon, followed by a thunderous explosion that shook the air around us.

We were miles out from it, but I could still feel it. The blast wave rolled over the sea, and then ca the aftermath: a colossal plu of black smoke billowing into the sky, thick and fast, swallowing the island beneath it until it all but vanished behind the swirling dark cloud.

"What…the fuck?" I gaped, arm tight around Togepi cradling the little guy into my chest as he chirped excitedly at the sight of it.

I am totally a bad influence.

"Return little man," I returned the baby pokemon to his luxury ball and stowed it away in my gauntlet storage space, before tightening my grip with both hands now on Pidgeot's saddle, "Pidgeot, go let's check that out."

"Geot!" Pidgeot barked with a nod, spreading his wings wide and levelling out once more, before with a powerful beat of his wings that resounded through the air, he took off again, speeding up much faster than his travel speed and soaring towards the island.

It was but seconds before we arrived, Pidgeot circling around the massive cloud of smoke that blotted out the island below us, keeping just out of range of it so we didn't breathe it in.

As he circled the island though, bit by bit I began to make out what seed to be destroyed remnants of a huge building, waves of fire flickering through the smoke and all around at the bottom.

Sothing caught my way, a figure.

A person?

"Pidgeot, blow so of this smoke away." I ordered quickly, whoever it was couldn't be left down there for long.

Their lungs were probably already being cooked by that smoke as it was.

"Pidgeot!" he reared back at my order, and began to rapidly beat his wings, unleashing a devastatingly massive gust attack that unleashed a small tornado and blew away much of the smoke, dispersing it off into the distance.

And the figure ca into view fully.

And my jaw dropped as a tall, grey humanoid pokemon with a long purple tail looked up at , an expressionless look upon its face.

Oh….oh shit.

'No, no no!' my eyes widened this couldn't be happening! A hundred and one emotions blazed through in an instant. Shock, disbelief, awe, excitent, terror. So many I couldn't keep track of them.

….wtwo.
