Calem!"
Serena barely held back the annoyed scowl from twisting her lips as she banged her childhood friends bedroom door with one hand, while balancing a tray of food precariously in the other, "Open up already, don't make use my key!" she demanded.
Silence.
No response at all.
She couldn't stop the scowl now, reaching into the back pocket of her skirt to dig out the key. She was already sore and tired from her mother making her train all morning riding their Rhyhorn, she was so not in the mood for this today!
The tray wobbled in her grip, but reflexes born from doing this damn near every day for years at this point, just barely allowed her to keep it upright and not spill all the food everywhere.
Finally she pulled the key free and jamd it in the bedroom door lock and twisted it open. A rank sll hit her first as she stepped into a dark, gloomy room.
The musty sll of a room that hadn't had the windows opened in god knows how long.
Her eyes went to her childhood friend Calem sitting in the middle of the room, knees drawn to his chin as he stared blankly at the wall.
"Seriously?" Serena rolled her eyes and stepped over a ss of covers, empty bottles and one crusty slipper, "When was the last ti you showered?"
Walking over, she placed the tray in front of him on the floor, before walking over and yanking the curtains open letting so sunlight in.
Calem hissed looking away, "Can you not do that?" he grumbled in annoyance.
"Don't be such a baby," Serena groaned in annoyance as she opened the window, "And you didn't answer my question, when did you last shower?"
She'd been away for a week. She'd wanted to try her hand at becoming a sky trainer, it had seed so interesting.
…But, while she'd spent a week at the sky trainer academy, it hadn't amounted to much. It was decently fun, but not sothing she'd found wanting to dedicate her life to.
Her mother was out of town as well as a judge for a rhyhorn race and only got back last night. And Calem's parents as always were away on business.
So he'd been left to himself a week.
'Not that an eighteen year old should need to be supervised just to take a shower.' she huffed internally, turning towards him and arching a brow.
"…The night you left." Calem said under his breath, looking away.
She took a deep, steady breath and released. She wasn't the type that liked to hit people…but god, she just wanted to clobber this idiot NEET.
"Eat your breakfast, and then go take a shower," Serena settled for ordering him, eyes narrowed, "I'm going to et up with Shauna and the guys. If I co back and you haven't showered, I'm getting Tierno to throw you in, and he'll join you in it as well."
Calem shivered, head whipping to her, "Fine!" he relented, and huffed himself, "You're so annoyingly bossy."
"Trust , I wish I didn't need to but, if I don't, within a month you'd give a Grir a run for its money in sll." Serena fired back, glaring.
Before her shoulders slumped and she just gave up, "…Just, stop being so difficult, what are you gonna do when I eventually find sothing I wanna do and leave this town?" Serena said, making her way towards the door.
He didn't reply to that.
At least until she got to the door, only then did he speak up, "…You look good today by the way." Calem said.
She looked over her shoulder, to see Calem's eyes settled on her lower back, specifically her short red waist high skirt, before quickly looking away, "I always look good." the honey blonde replied with a laugh, and left his bedroom behind.
She put the bad mood he put her in as always, out of mind. Today after all, was going to be exciting. Vaniville Town was ripe with excitent today. Professor Sycamore himself had co, and was hosting a pokemon battle tournant!
She left Calem's house behind, out into the sunny morning and made her through the streets to the small fountain in the middle of town where she was to et her friends.
Vaniville was a lovely, gorgeous town. But it wasn't exactly big, so it didn't actually take her long.
Her friends were already there. Trevor was sitting at the fountain bench, engrossed in his pokedex, while Shauna sat beside him kicking her legs back and forth.
The lumbering bulky Tierno, was spinning in front of them like a spinning top that could give a Hitmontop a run for its money as he danced.
He did love doing that.
Shauna noticed her first, "Serena, over here!" the short, mocha skinned girl grinned and waved her over.
The mocha skinned girl hopped up as Serena approached, doing the impossible and drawing Trevor from his pokedex as her large breasts bounced in the motion. Clad in only a tiny pair of jean shorts, and an unzipped pink hoodie with a black crop top underneath, she was definitely feeling the heat.
And Trevor's crush was plain for anyone who paid attention.
"Hey." Serena grinned back as she reached her, her much smaller friend sweeping her up into a tight hug.
Or well, would have if her head ca above her breasts. As it was, Shauna was an inch or two shy of five feet, where as Serena was five-nine.
"Can you believe it, an actual tournant happening here in Vaniville!" Shauna squealed in excitent, "It's been years since sothing this interesting happened here."
She snorted, "That's for sure." Serena agreed. As beautiful as Vaniville was, it was a bit boring. It was a small place without much to attract people beyond its inherent countryside beauty.
"Serena!" Tierno spun over, rolling to a stop spread out laying on his side, propping his hand on his chin and winked up at her, "Glad you're back, how was the sky trainer school? Find what you wanted?"
She stepped back a step, smoothing her skirt. She'd long since shot Tierno down for his crush on her, but he was bold and flirty as heck, and wasn't shy about checking her out. Though, despite that he was a good friend, "It was fun, but not really for ."
