Alex slowly walked the streets with Gardevoir who is next to him and who is responsible for his safety.
He made an appointnt with Erika 2 days ago for an A-rank Rainbow Badge and that's why he interrupted the training ti with Maria.
Although Maria had told him this morning that she was going back to the island so that the ti together would be interrupted anyway.

Although the 5 strongest gym leader in Kanto doesn't sound strong, alex knew that the other 4 strongest gym leaders are all monsters.
even if you don't count Giovanni, even the other 3 are ridiculously strong and even comparable to other elite four mbers from other regions that alex does not know from the gas.
Alex who of course had investigated all gym leaders and elite four mbers at this point in ti noticed one thing.
The gym leaders and elite four mbers who cannot be seen in the gas almost all had relatively weak strengths for their position and many were also very old.

Erika spotted Alex and imdiately gave a big smile as she walked in the direction of Alex.
"Alex, I'm so happy to see you again after such a long ti."
"Thank you Erika for the nice words. Also, thank you for accepting my challenge so quickly."
"Ohh no, no. it is a great pleasure to fight against you."
Alex, who is not used to such positive conversations, felt a bit uncomfortable for a mont.
