Venusaur is a Royal Pokemon and therefore has a very good average potential so it was not surprising for Alex that this Venusaur had a Deep Silver potential.
In addition, Alex could see that this Pokemon is a Pokemon where Erika had no high hopes to train it to her main team.
The number of Tms shows that Erika probably didn't invest much in this Pokemon.
But Alex didn't think it was necessarily wrong. Even gym leaders aren't rich enough to spend tons of money on each of their Pokémon.
Also, just because a Pokemon isn't ridiculously strong doesn't an that Pokemon is necessarily unhappy.
Training is strenuous and many Pokémon are satisfied with a relaxed life.

Alex saw Erika get the perfect answer in less than a second and he couldn't say that he was disappointed with Erika.
Although this fight seed very clear, it was not a "fair" fight from the start because Alex Pokemon had a huge advantage.
Be it Tms, Move Mastery, Type Advantage or even physical fitness, Blaziken has an advantage.
Even Alex felt that if he is the trainer of Venusaur he probably can't win against Blaziken if Erika doesn't make a big mistake.

She also knows all the moves a Blaziken learns and doesn't rember any move where Venusaur can't use Protect in ti.
Alex who knew which move Blaziken was preparing knew that this fight was over.
Blaziken finished first and imdiately used overheat with a smile.
Erika, who saw how quickly Blaziken was finished, imdiately understood the reason
She showed a slightly surprised expression when she quietly said, "Master rank Overheat... I can't say that I lost wrongly."
Venusaur tried to dodge but couldn't dodge the strongest attack from Blaziken.
