The Yas Gym was in an uproar.
Gym Leader Yas sat at the head of the room, passionately addressing his apprentices.

His tone was pure disdain.
To Sam, a private Gym Leader who wasn't even official was nothing worth fearing.
Yas burst into laughter.
"You'll soon understand what kind of enemy you've offended."
"Co out, Scyther!"

Sam felt… disappointed.
He had expected sothing more impressive.

The apprentices began shouting.
"That's Master Yas's Scyther!"

"Kill him! Let him know the price of offending Yas Gym!"
Yas folded his arms proudly.
This Scyther was his trump card — the reason he could stand against Kaz Gym for so long.
In his mind, once Scyther appeared, victory was inevitable.
He looked down at Sam arrogantly.

Sam calmly took out Charizard's Poké Ball.
Using Bangira for this would be an insult to Bangira.

"I'll return those words to you," Sam said lightly. "Kneel now, and maybe I'll let you leave in one piece."
Yas exploded with fury.
"You're asking for death! Scyther — cut him down!"
Scyther lunged directly at Sam.
Yas didn't even care about the rule of not targeting Trainers.
Seeing this, Sam's eyes sharpened.

The mont it appeared, the temperature of the street seed to rise.
Yas was briefly surprised by the sight of Charizard—
But arrogance had clouded his judgnt.
He believed he was destined to win.
Reality corrected him imdiately.
Charizard didn't hesitate.
It opened its mouth—
And unleashed a concentrated Flathrower.
The blazing fire twisted into a roaring dragon of flas and slamd directly into Scyther before it could react.
The street was instantly engulfed in fire.
