Eight against eight.
In terms of numbers, the two sides were evenly matched, but any discerning eye could see that among these sixteen First-class Legendaries, Hoopa was the strongest.
It had directly summoned six First-class Legendaries—even if this was its ability, if its own strength weren't overwhelming, it absolutely could not have summoned them.
Even the renowned Ho-Oh had been summoned by it.
That alone proved that Hoopa's power surpassed that of all six First-class Legendaries it had called forth.

> "I don't know whether Champion Walker can beat it, but if they really start fighting... won't the world be destroyed?"
> "I don't know about the whole world, but the East African region definitely won't exist anymore."
> "Good thing I had apocalyptic fears and built an underground bunker ages ago. The food and water inside are enough for me to survive ten years."
> "Our country is so far away from there. The shockwaves from the battle shouldn't reach us, right?"
> "Anyone with a Flying-type Pokémon should get into the air immediately. Even if the shockwaves e, as long as you fly high enough, you shouldn't be affected."

Several years earlier, when Julian had manded Kyogre to battle Groudon, the resulting shockwaves had nearly submerged all of Victoria.
Now, however, this was a battle involving sixteen First-class Legendaries—and in this lineup, Groudon and Kyogre were practically at the bottom in terms of strength.
The other fourteen First-class Legendaries were all stronger than them. So if this fight really erupted, the scale of the resulting shockwaves was simply unimaginable.
Countries around the world had already begun evacuating their citizens to emergency shelters.
Almost every city had a Secret Realm, and the Pokémon inside those realms would sometimes, for various reasons, go berserk and surge out, wreaking havoc on the city.
Because of that possibility, residents would be evacuated to reinforced shelters whenever such emergencies occurred. And these shelters were built to be exceptionally sturdy.
They could generally withstand over half an hour of attacks from an Elite-level Pokémon.
The size and number of shelters in each city depended on that city's importance and population.
Drakoria had a total of 1,130 cities.
And at this moment, residents from every city, county, and town were being evacuated to the nearest shelters.
The East African region was extremely far from Drakoria, but according to calculations by superputers and Metagross, the shockwaves produced by a battle of sixteen First-class Legendaries would be enough to affect the entire planet.
In other words, it was pletely unavoidable.
The safest place was actually the sky. However, most people weren't Trainers, and had no Flying-type Pokémon, so underground shelters became the only option for the vast majority.
At the same time, Drakoria deployed all its Champions to the easternmost border.
Once the shockwaves from the battle arrived, they would strike Drakoria from the east, so taking a position there would allow them to block the shockwaves—and even if they couldn't stop them entirely, they could at least weaken a portion of their force.

Back at the Walker residence in Lake City.
Tina, Love, Henry, Quinn, Jade, and Alice—all of them had been relocated to the Steel Guards' headquarters in the back mountain.
The headquarters was built with a vast amount of rare metals. Its defenses were so formidable that even a Champion-level Pokémon would need to attack it continuously for most of a day before breaking through.
Inside the headquarters, everyone was watching the situation unfold on an enormous display screen.
"Big brother is so amazing!"
Seeing Julian surrounded by eight First-class Legendaries, Jade was practically bursting with admiration and envy.
Beside her stood Deoxys, whose strength had already recovered to the peak of the Champion tier.
With it there, Julian's family had absolutely nothing to worry about regarding their safety. Moreover, the Steel Guards' mander had also bee a Champion-level Trainer.
"Julian knows so many First-class Legendaries. No, after this is all over, I absolutely have to make him get me some of Rayquaza's and Xerneas's blood for research!"
Quinn's eyes gleamed as she looked at the First-class Legendaries gathered around Julian.
As a Pokémon researcher, she absolutely couldn't resist the allure of studying First-class Legendaries.
As for whether she was worried about Julian—of course, she was. But she believed he would return safely.
Tina and Love remained silent, their faces still somewhat pale.
The opponent Julian was facing this time was far, far stronger than the one he had fought before.
---
Meanwhile, Julian and Hoopa continued confronting one another.
The First-class Legendaries on both sides hadn't made a move yet—each side seemed to be waiting for the other to strike first.
Julian had naturally considered the shockwaves that would be unleashed once the battle began.
But unless there was a First-class Legendary at the Creator-class capable of creating something like a protective barrier, those shockwaves would be impossible to stop.
The reason Julian hadn't started the fight yet was also to buy time for the nations to evacuate their people.
As for East Africa, soon to bee the battlefield of a war among gods, Julian could only offer his apologies.
He was no god—he could not do everything.
All he could do was give it everything he had.
"Tal!"
Yveltal let out a piercing cry.
Driven by its hatred for Julian, it could no longer hold back and was the first to strike, its body erupting with the immense power of death.
"Your opponent is me!"
Xerneas leaped forward, placing itself squarely in Yveltal's path, its body radiating a dense aura of life—an aura that Yveltal found utterly detestable.
"I'll kill you first, then I'll kill that human!"
Yveltal charged straight at Xerneas. Whether it was Xerneas or Julian, both were at the very top of its kill list.
As these two natural enemies began to fight, it was as if the battle horn had sounded.
The very next second, all the First-class Legendaries in the vicinity erupted with their own terrifying auras.
Groudon activated its Primal Reversion form and went straight for Kyogre, who had likewise entered its Primal state.
The Creation Trio faced off against the Tao Trio.
Zygarde squared up against Regigigas.
Ho-Oh confronted Rayquaza.
And beside Julian, only Solgaleo remained—which meant Solgaleo was now left facing Hoopa alone.
If one looked closely, Julian's expression now carried a hint of helplessness.
'I haven't even assigned the matchups yet—how did you all just pick your own fights?'
Ho-Oh was at the peak of the First-class Legendary tier, while Rayquaza was at the late-stage—clearly outmatched in strength.
The Creation Trio were all at the late-stage, whereas the Tao Trio were at the peak.
In this situation, they could have easily let the two dragons, Zekrom and Reshiram, take on the three together, while Kyurem dealt with Ho-Oh.
That way, Rayquaza could have gone to fight Groudon—big brother beating up little brother, practically just a one-sided beating. It would've quickly pinned Groudon to the ground and hammered it senseless.
Instead, Kyogre had already locked onto Groudon—two evenly matched opponents.
At this rate, they probably wouldn't be able to determine a winner even after fighting for ten days.
Julian then looked at Solgaleo, and Solgaleo looked back at him.
At this moment, Solgaleo was pletely dumbfounded.
All the guys around it had moved so fast, each one grabbing an opponent, and now only it was left.
Did this mean it was supposed to fight Hoopa?
It was only a late-stage First-class Legendary—how was it supposed to fight Hoopa?!
'You're making things way too difficult for me!'
