After his evolution into Ampharos, Kael's mastery over magnetism had advanced by leaps and bounds.

Even the System acknowledged it, listing Magnetic Field Manipulation as an official skill.

Invisible pressure rippled through the battlefield, a crushing do that pinned everything within its reach.

Scizor felt as though it had been dropped into the deep ocean, imnse pressure squeezing down on its armored body. Its crimson steel plates groaned audibly.

Its blistering speed faltered under the oppressive magnetic grip.

"Got you."

Kael's black eyes glead. His long yellow tail swayed, and the entire magnetic field contracted toward Scizor like an invisible giant hand.

The claws of pressure closed.

SCREECH.

tal shrieked as Scizor cried out in pain, its body crushed within the unseen grasp.

But Kael wasn't finished.

Golden electricity burst across his body, arcs sparking like a thousand screaming birds. A storm of voltage gathered at his command.

"Discharge!"

Bolts of searing lightning exploded outward, racing toward the immobilized Scizor.

Death's breath whispered across Scizor's neck. Its pupils shrank in terror.

At the last possible instant, crimson light erupted from its body.

"Protect!"

A translucent barrier flickered to life. For a heartbeat, it held but the crushing magnetism and roaring bolts shattered it like glass.

The shield's collapse brought only the tiniest of openings yet it was enough.

"Double Team!"

A blur of afterimages split off from Scizor's body. The real one slipped through the cracks, vanishing into a sar of red.

Kael's storm annihilated the illusion, scattering it into static and ash.

Scizor's true form reappeared across the field, its orange-yellow eyes blazing with renewed ferocity. Its wings whirred violently, venting the heat building inside its armor in steaming plus.

"Agility!"

Its exoskeleton glowed with a strange pink sheen as it accelerated further. The arena rang with sonic booms.

With each slash of its massive claws, crescent blades of compressed air tore free—

"Air Slash!"

The arcs scread toward Kael.

But he didn't flinch. Inside his magnetic web, every movent was clear as day.

He swept his hand, disintegrating the blades in showers of sparks.

Then Scizor itself lunged forward, faster than most eyes could follow. Silver-white light coated its claws.

"Bullet Punch!"

Fury sharpened its eyes. Victory seed within reach—

—only for Scizor to see Ampharos smiling.

A warm, radiant grin.

"Why does everyone assu I'm just a fragile long-range attacker?"

Heat flared. Kael's fist ignited in roaring orange fla.

"Fire Punch!"

Steel and fla collided—

BOOM.

Shockwaves tore across the battlefield in concentric ripples.

Kael stood rooted, immovable as bedrock. Scizor, on the other hand, was hurled backward, heels carving sparks across the floor as its armor screeched under the pressure.

It staggered, gasping for steam. Across its claw, blackened scorch marks still glowed faint red.

Yet before it could charge again, a cold voice cut through the air.

"That's enough. Stand down. You can't defeat him like this."

Scizor froze. Its golden eyes burned with frustration, but it obeyed, slamming a claw into the earth with a reluctant hiss.

It exhaled hard, shoulders loosening, before closing its eyes. It's breathing steadied.

And in that silence, sothing changed.

From Nolan's wrist, the strange red-gray gem embedded in his bracelet pulsed with dazzling light.
