The ninth level was extrely dangerous!
Amon had to deal with 30 giants!
In fact, there were tis where he had almost been killed as so of the giants were wielding massive weapons that could claim his life at any ti.
Thankfully... Amon survived!
He exhaled heavily, taking in ragged breaths as he watched the portal to see which beasts he would be facing on the tenth level.
Would it be 100? Or maybe more?
The only thing stopping him from obtaining the artifact was whatever he would face in the tenth level!
And...
Amon wiped the blood at the corner of his lips.
’I will slay whatever that is!’
His eyes remained fixed on the portal for a few unsettling seconds that seed to drag on for hours.
Strangely, it was just a single silhouette that seed a little similar to him that stepped out from the portal.
Staring at the youth who just stepped out with a dazed expression, Amon was bewildered.
"A... human?" Amon’s eyes widened in shock!
The person in front of him had silver hair like moonlight and pale silver eyes.
There was a sense of bloodlust about him, and Amon also noticed his expression looked a little dazed before those silver pupils landed on him.
"Soone new?" he spoke in a strange language, but subconsciously, Amon could understand what he was saying.
"It’s been quite a long while since soone ca this far." The youth’s gaze fell onto Amon and a look of surprise appeared on his face.
"A white core just like him?" he murmured as though seeing the state of Amon’s core.
"Hey," Amon called out, drawing the youth’s attention before asking:
"Who are you?"
"Who am I?" The youth seed stunned by the question, trying to rack his brain to co up with an answer.
"I... don’t know." Finally, the youth replied after being unable to co up with anything.
"A human or a beast?" Amon couldn’t tell the difference, so he asked.
The youth stared blankly for a mont before he used his left hand and moved it toward his right.
Without hesitation, he pulled it with a violent tug.
Amon’s eyes went wide as the youth pulled his right hand out from his shoulder, causing blue blood to splatter around and his bones and muscles to ripple beneath his arm.
Amon felt slightly irritated by the sight but couldn’t look away.
"Beast, I guess." The youth replied with a shrug before tossing his arm away.
Then, sothing miraculous happened.
The wriggling flesh imdiately seed to gain life and in barely a few seconds another arm ford where his right arm was.
Amon glanced at the arm on the ground, then back at the arm on the youth’s shoulder, and his pupils narrowed slightly.
’Such insane regeneration speed... and there are actually star beasts that can speak?’
"Impressive, right? It’s one of the unique aspects of higher grade star beasts."
’Unique aspect???’ Amon’s mind shook internally, but he maintained a calm expression.
"What’s a unique aspect?"
"Who knows? Perhaps we’ll figure it out in the future..." the youth replied with a shrug.
Amon’s eyes squinted slightly.
Changing the topic, the youth said with a smile, "Let’s get on with it. I want to get back to sleep. The previous guy was really interesting, hopefully you’re as interesting as him."
Amon thought for a mont then asked:
"The guy you ntioned. Damien?"
"Huh?" The youth looked startled. "You know his na? He kept on telling to keep it in mind as he beat up. Truly an embarrassing sight." The youth seed unwilling to talk about such an embarrassing mont as a slender sword appeared in his hand.
Amon didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
That... sounded like sothing Damien would do, which made it even more amusing and brought up a question.
... did Damien actually do that?
Amon placed the thought at the back of his mind as his eyes sharpened instantly.
Without hesitation, he turned in the direction of the youth.
"Ready?" the youth asked and didn’t wait for him to reply before continuing, "Here I co!"
Amon’s mind scread at the danger internally, but before he could even understand what was happening, the slender sword appeared in front of him, just above his eyes.
’What?’ Amon was speechless and could only hastily move backwards.
Drip! Drip! Drip!
Blood dripped lightly onto the floor and Amon realized that a cut had appeared on his face.
If he hadn’t reacted in ti, that attack might have sliced off his eyes.
’Such speed!’ Amon’s thoughts stirred wildly and he knew this wasn’t a ti to play.
Without a second thought... Amon vanished from the youth’s line of sight.
"He disappeared?" The youth narrowed his eyes and glanced around.
Then, his slender blade swept upwards.
Swish!
Amon’s pupils in the invisible state narrowed instantly and without hesitation he retreated backwards once more.
Another smooth line appeared on his face, causing more blood to pour out incessantly.
’He can detect my location.’ Amon didn’t want to believe it at first, hoping to dismiss it as a lucky guess.
However, feeling a blade appear at his neck, Amon quickly rolled to the side.
Clang!
The slender blade collided with the ground, causing rock fragnts to splinter outwards.
Amon felt his heart beating wildly.
Aside from a slight fear blossoming in his heart, there was a sense of thrill surging through him.
He could feel a sense of excitent rise from the bottom of his heart!
Knowing he couldn’t keep up with the youth’s speed, Amon quickly made another creation in his mind.
The sixth gift!
His thoughts surged wildly and within a few seconds a line of runes appeared in his vision.
[Detected a new gift: speed enhancent. Do you wish to proceed with creation?]
’Yes!’ Amon almost exclaid with a shout.
The next mont Amon felt his movents lighten and his speed and reaction ti more than doubled!
Naturally, this was a gift Amon should have created a long ti ago, but he had been extrely cautious with each of his gift slots, and only when they proved useful would he create the corresponding gift.
Just as Amon’s thoughts drifted for barely a few seconds, he felt a sharp whistle in front of him.
Although he still could barely keep up with the attack of the beast youth, Amon was able to react in ti.
He dodged to the side instantly and tried to parry the attack, only for the youth to move once more and counter with one of his own.
"Your speed has suddenly increased?" The youth was startled by this developnt.
"I thought the battle would end so soon, however that doesn’t seem to be the case..." The youth grinned and then increased his speed once more.
’He can even go faster?’ Amon was shocked, but he was still able to react in ti as a burst of blue flas spread through him.
The blue flas emitted a searing wave of heat that should have caused the youth to retreat, but instead he pressed on.
Amon narrowed his eyes, then recalled the youth’s near instant regeneration.
With such a unique aspect, what did he have to fear?
Amon was stunned and without hesitation switched up his flas, turning them from a searing heat wave into a chilling cold that spread through the surroundings.
The youth finally shrank his pupils and retreated, creating so distance between them.
However, Amon noticed a smirk at the corner of his lips.
"Hahahaha!" The youth laughed wildly.
"You’ve finally used your gift... the rest should be pretty easy."
Upon understanding Amon’s gift, the youth now felt relaxed...
’My gift?’ Amon’s face held a peculiar expression.
’Do you know the true extent of my gift?’ He had the urge to laugh in return!
