Now reading: Chapter 29: Terrifying order from Primordial Awakening: They Targeted My Daughter, I Became The Butcher!, a Fantasy novel by IHateWriting.

’What’s going on? My daughter has reached what?’

Amon stared at the notification in disbelief.

For several seconds, his mind completely stalled.

An F-Rank Hunter?

His daughter?

The sa little girl he had kissed repeatedly before leaving ho this morning?

The sa child who could barely walk properly?

Nothing about it made sense.

’System, is there a mistake?’

Unfortunately, no response ca.

The system was currently undergoing its upgrade.

Even so, the Fate Points had already been awarded.

That ant the notification was genuine.

Amon slowly leaned back into his seat.

His brows furrowed.

’My daughter really reached F-Rank?’

The thought felt absurd.

She was barely a year old.

How could a baby possibly beco an F-Rank Hunter?

A strange thought suddenly appeared.

’Do I have another daughter sowhere?’

The possibility was imdiately discarded.

Ever since arriving in this world and inheriting this body, he had never been with another woman.

More importantly, the system itself had only awakened after his daughter’s birth.

The connection between the two was too obvious.

Which ant the answer pointed back to the sa person.

His daughter.

Amon’s expression gradually beca serious.

Perhaps she wasn’t as ordinary as she appeared.

Various possibilities surfaced within his mind.

A regressor?

A reincarnator?

A transmigrator?

Perhaps even so ancient existence hiding within a newborn body?

The more he thought about it, the stranger the situation beca.

Before he could continue—

Screech!

The vehicle suddenly ca to a halt.

Amon’s thoughts were interrupted.

Looking outside, he realized they had arrived at Jacob’s residence.

The large estate was brightly illuminated despite the approaching evening.

Standing near the entrance was a young man dressed in a black suit.

The mont he noticed Jacob’s arrival, he hurried forward.

"Greetings, sir!"

He bowed respectfully.

"The information you requested has been gathered, along with the targets’ precise locations."

Jacob nodded in satisfaction.

He imdiately moved to open the door for Amon and Moon.

Only to discover that both had already stepped out.

A faint smile appeared on Jacob’s face.

The wrinkles at the corners of his eyes beca slightly more noticeable.

"This is the information you requested, sir."

He respectfully handed over a thick folder.

Amon accepted it.

For now, he pushed the matter of his daughter to the back of his mind.

Through his connection with the system, he couldn’t sense any danger surrounding his wife or daughter.

That alone was enough to reassure him.

Whatever was happening, they were safe.

And that was what mattered most.

His gaze briefly shifted toward the floating system screen.

The upgrade had finally reached two percent.

Amon shook his head helplessly.

At this rate, it would likely take quite so ti before the upgrade finished.

Opening the folder, he began reviewing its contents.

Inside were photographs.

Nas.

Addresses.

Criminal records.

Talent descriptions.

Combat specialties.

Every target had been thoroughly docunted.

Amon flipped through several pages.

Then he paused.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

The information wasn’t rely complete.

It was organized intelligently.

Targets located near one another had been grouped together.

Routes had practically been planned in advance.

Maximum efficiency.

Minimum wasted movent.

Amon slowly raised his head and looked at Jacob.

The old man imdiately understood.

"I made a few assumptions."

A faint smile appeared on Jacob’s face.

"I hope I wasn’t too presumptuous."

Amon stared at him for several monts.

Then he nodded.

"I will rember this favor."

His deep voice echoed quietly.

Yet those simple words caused Jacob’s eyes to light up.

Relief washed over him.

Excitent quickly followed.

With the Butcher’s support, his chances of surviving the coming storm increased dramatically.

More importantly—

Perhaps those responsible for his wife’s death would finally pay the price.

A cold hatred flickered deep within his eyes.

’Hopefully... he kills every last one of them.’

Soon, Amon and Moon disappeared down a nearby street.

After several minutes of walking, they reached a secluded alley hidden from public view.

Only then did Amon stop.

He turned toward Moon.

The clone stood silently.

Waiting.

"Alright, Moon."

Amon’s voice beca serious.

"It’s ti for you to take over."

Moon tilted his head slightly.

The clone understood commands.

However, abstract concepts still required explanation.

Amon spent several minutes describing the Butcher’s behavior.

His mannerisms.

His ruthlessness.

His speech patterns.

The image he projected to the world.

Only after ensuring the clone understood did he hand over the folder.

Moon accepted it without hesitation.

Inside were the nas of everyone marked for death.

Before the clone could leave, Amon raised another matter.

"First, we need to strengthen you."

A faint smile appeared on his face.

He opened the system interface.

Although the upgrade remained ongoing, Fate Points could still be used.

The loading bar had already reached five percent.

Above it, the upgrade continued steadily.

Below it were both their status windows.

Amon quickly focused on Moon’s abilities.

Mobility ca first.

A hunter who couldn’t escape danger wouldn’t survive long.

Without hesitation, he invested three Fate Points.

The D-Rank Spatial Teleportation instantly evolved.

A surge of power flowed through the clone.

[A-Rank Spatial Teleportation]

Satisfied, Amon shifted his attention toward the second skill.

Damage Amplification.

Offense was just as important as mobility.

Another three Fate Points disappeared.

[A-Rank Damage Amplification]

The transformation completed.

Moon’s combat capabilities rose dramatically.

Amon estimated that the clone could now comfortably challenge high-level C-Rank Hunters.

Perhaps even weaker B-Ranks.

’That should be enough.’

His gaze shifted toward the Narlock Robes.

Curiosity surfaced.

He assigned a single Fate Point.

The robes appeared unchanged.

No visible transformation occurred.

Yet Amon imdiately sensed sothing different.

Sothing hidden.

A subtle feeling lingered around the equipnt.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t determine exactly what had changed.

After a mont, he abandoned the matter.

The remaining Fate Points stayed untouched.

Only three remained.

’I need two more.’

Amon narrowed his eyes slightly.

The Elegant Netherblade Sword Technique had already reached Divine Rank.

What happened if he pushed it even further?

For the first ti, genuine anticipation surfaced within him.

The system itself had just confird the existence of rewards beyond Divine Rank.

That alone was enough to make him curious.

Eventually, he dismissed the thought.

There would be ti later.

For now, another matter demanded attention.

The sky had darkened considerably.

The golden glow of sunset stretched across the horizon.

Long shadows covered the empty alley.

A cool evening breeze drifted through the air.

Amon looked toward Moon.

The clone stared back silently.

For a brief mont, neither spoke.

Then Amon raised his head and looked toward the fading sun.

His expression beca cold.

Completely emotionless.

The folder containing dozens of nas rested within Moon’s hands.

Every one of them was guilty.

Every one of them had escaped justice.

Not anymore.

Amon’s voice echoed through the alley.

Quiet.

Cold.

Absolute.

"Leave no one alive."

Moon tilted his head slightly.

The next mont—

He vanished.

Only the evening wind remained.

...

Moon moved like a phantom through the city.

The first target never even noticed his arrival.

A flash of silvery light and a head was severed cleanly.

Blood splashed across the floor.

Before the corpse could hit the ground, Moon had already vanished.

Elsewhere, another heretic laughed among friends.

Monts later, death arrived at his door.
