Kent would be lying if he said he wasn’t surprised by the appearance of the second form of the [Finger of Destruction] technique in this auction.
He had received the first form from Flame Lord Agni, one of the legendary Flame Lords of the Immortal Realm.
From what Agni had told him before handing over the technique, the Finger of Destruction first appeared in a ruin said to date back to the Primordial Era.
Back then, all seven forms of the technique were revealed on a single tome, meant for one person. However, since everyone wanted it, an extremely chaotic battle erupted, and thousands lost their lives.
In the end, the tome containing the technique shattered into seven pieces, each falling into the hands of a different person.
Agni was one of the fortunate few to obtain a fragment. Fortunately for him, he escaped with his life, but in the end, he wasn’t able to cultivate it.
Even so, he became the most wanted man in the entire Immortal Realm and beyond. After the ruin closed, it was soon discovered that he possessed the first form of the technique, leaving those who had obtained the remaining forms unable to cultivate theirs.
Of course, despite lacking the ability to cultivate the original technique, they were still able to create legendary techniques based on it.
In fact, many Celestials alive today have created terrifying techniques inspired by the nature of the remaining forms of the [Finger of Destruction].
Kent possessed the first form, and he had always planned to obtain the second.
The last he had heard, the second form of the [Finger of Destruction] was in the possession of the Flame Demon Clan.
Their ancestor, already a Celestial, was present when the original tome shattered. He had obtained the second form, and ever since then, the clan had guarded it as one of their greatest treasures.
They had benefited immensely from it, and after years of countless experts trying to seize the technique, those attempts eventually stopped.
Every decade, new talents were born within the Flame Demon Clan, each exceptionally proficient in the Flame Element.
It reached the point where many people resorted to currying favor with the Flame Demon Clan just for the chance to catch a glimpse of the technique.
Unlike Agni, who had no backing—especially considering that even his fellow Flame Lords had hunted him relentlessly—the Flame Demon Clan had thousands of powerful warriors standing behind them. As a result, no one dared stir up trouble.
So for them to put such a precious technique up for auction...
Kent, in all his expectations, never expected them to do such a thing, and he certainly hadn’t expected it to appear at this auction.
But it was here now, and as someone whose next mission would take him to one of the most dangerous places in the universe, he knew obtaining it would greatly increase his chances of survival.
"I need to get this technique no matter what," he muttered, clenching his fist.
The mission he would soon undertake would lead him to a unique world known as Flame Paradise. The name sounded peaceful, but the horrors hidden within were far more terrifying than words could describe.
Ironically, Agni—the very man who had given Kent the first form of the Finger of Destruction—had found himself trapped there after being hunted down by numerous clans and the Flame Temple itself, the very organization to which he had once sworn eternal allegiance to protect the Flame Dao.
He needed to rescue him, and Kent also needed to form his third Flame Core and recover one of the Nirvana Flames he possessed.
While inside, he would only be able to use flame-type techniques, so his plan was to strengthen [Divine Flame Armament], since he was likely to encounter Gods, Supremes, and even Celestials there.
Now, it appeared he would be getting his hands on the second form of the [Finger of Destruction], which, in his opinion, would be more than enough for what he had planned.
"Sounds like this technique is impressive," Yukiko said as she looked at Kent.
"It is one of the greatest flame-type techniques in the universe. I already have the first form. Now, if I win the bid for this one, I’ll be getting my hands on the second."
"Go ahead, then. If you don’t have enough money, we’ll sponsor you," Vexthra assured him.
Kent merely smiled and nodded. He had already taken all of his previous purchases into account, and even after that, he was still incredibly wealthy.

’Then let’s go all out,’ Kent said before turning his attention back to the auction.
"The Flame Demon Clan has held on to the second form of the Finger of Destruction technique for countless years. However, after benefiting from it for so long, they have decided to auction it off so that the next fortunate person—or people—may also enjoy it."
Lady Wu smiled as she repeated exactly what she had been instructed to say when the technique was entrusted to her to be auctioned.
She knew those words sounded extremely shameless. However, she had nothing better to say than the script she had been given.
As expected, many people sneered, yet they remained determined to win the technique.
As for Kent, he knew the Flame Demon Clan had already made several copies of the technique before putting the original up for auction. After all, while replicating such a technique could take thousands of years, it wasn’t impossible.
So, the fact that they were willing to sell it meant they no longer had any real need for it and simply wanted to cash out.
"The starting bid is 50 trillion, with a minimum increment of 5 trillion."
She paused and slowly scanned the room, allowing the anticipation in the air to build.
"May the highest bidder win."
And so, the bidding war began.
Everyone jumped in immediately. Kent, however, held back and began observing the various VIP rooms. He was well aware that several influential figures hadn’t participated in the auction at all since it began, so he wasn’t about to reveal himself just yet.
Time passed, and before long, the bid had reached 300 trillion.
Just then, for the first time since the auction had begun, the occupant of VIP Room 99 placed a bid—and it was a shocking one.
"400 trillion."
The entire auction hall fell silent the moment the bid was announced.
Perhaps Kent, who had no idea who this person was, would be the only one to go against her. However, the thousands of people gathered in the hall recognized the voice immediately, and almost all of them backed down.
Even the fatty in VIP Room 79 did the same.
"This voice..." Vexthra muttered, narrowing her eyes.
A few seconds later, her eyes widened, and for the briefest moment, an icy aura escaped from her body.
