BOOOM!
Kent was sent flying back yet again. However, he managed to stabilise himself mid-flight and summon Gaap. Then, tapping into his Chaos Heart, he channels streams of chaotic energy, filling the entire space around him with deadly intent.
He chose to hold back his Ice Essence, Darkness Essence, Flame Cores, Evil Cores, Blood Cores, and even his Lightning Essence. This battle was far from over, and he knew it was best to keep his options open.
Kent already knew that he would never win this battle, regardless of what trump cards he brought out.
He was merely an Immortal Monarch who had yet to bee a Demigod, a God, or a Supreme before finally reaching the realm of Celestials.
Meiko, however, was already a Celestial Supreme, someone who stood at the peak of power in this universe.
Aside from that, her abilities were simply too strange for Kent to counter. So, basically, he was going into the battle with a losing mindset.
However, it was also a friendly yet deadly bout, so he had to bring his A-game, or else he would lose miserably. To make sure he doesn’t lose, he chooses to go into the battle as a swordsman.
His eyes changed from purple to red, and the Jade Void Wings spread open, humming with Void Essence.
He had just taken the full-on attacks of a Celestial, yet all he did was cough up blood. Naturally, that was impressive, but Kent knew he had to do more than this.
So he summoned his dragon tail, which, in his human form, looked like a whip. Then, without any hesitation, he unleashed the movement technique that came with the [Jade Void Wings].
"Void Glide."
The move was executed, and the next second, he collided with Meiko, creating a deadly shockwave and explosion that spread far and wide, pushing space debris aside.
Kent was also knocked back, but he immediately surged forward and unleashed a deadly sword arc.
"Void Cleave."
A deadly arc flashed out from his sword and exploded toward Meiko, who stood exactly where she had been when she met Kent’s slash. This time around, too, she remained calm and merely swung her whip, destroying the sword arc.
However, Kent was already upon her.
"Cleaving the Heavens."
His Sword Intent exploded, and thousands of swords materialised into a single colossal blade, shaking space itself. Then, with one deadly slash, the sword descended, shattering the space around it.
Kent vanished, and the next second, a massive asteroid appeared in the air and hurtled toward Meiko, burning with crimson flames.
"Interesting... You have some techniques, Fjorge," Meiko smiled and extended her left hand, firing a beam at the sword.
BOOOM!
The colossal sword shattered, and shockwaves spread everywhere.
Then, with a swing of her whip, it transformed into a white dragon’s head and extended into an impossibly long whip. This white dragon head carried the power of the metal element.
The asteroid, which was powerful enough to squash most bugs, was blasted to pieces as though it were nothing more than limestone.
That showed the true power of a Celestial who wasn’t even trying.
However, Kent wasn’t simple either.
WHOOSH!
The moment the asteroid was blasted to pieces, a wave of soul attack slammed into Meiko’s soul, causing her brow to furrow.
"Soul Annihilation Slash."
Kent appeared above her like a blur, and before Meiko could process where Kent had gotten that much Soul Essence to form the asteroid, a massive sword arc descended upon her.
This time, she extended her hand, and her Soul Essence transformed into a transparent shield.
BOOOM!
The attack slammed into it, and a shockwave erupted outward, sending Kent flying back. But he wasn’t gone for long. The moment his body was flung away, he tapped into the Darkness Element he had yet to awaken.
Under normal circumstances, he shouldn’t have been able to harness it. However, thanks to the Faceless Assassin, he could already wield a fraction of its power.
His intelligence, inherited from Kevin Sage, kicked in, and for a brief moment, he saw the one opening that would force Meiko onto the defensive.
He took it by vanishing into the shadows.
"Huh?"
Meiko frowned slightly, but she was forced to retreat when a chilling killing intent washed over her. The next instant, a sword appeared before her face.
"Hey, watch where you’re attacking," she pouted as she leaned back to evade it.
However, Kent didn’t let her create any distance. His tail lashed out, and the scales along it rearranged themselves, transforming into a deadly, flexible spear.
Meiko shifted to her left, effortlessly evading the piercing strike, only to step straight into the trap Kent had prepared.
A few seconds earlier, the moment he found the opening, he had activated two Divine Sword Bodies. One attacked Meiko’s neck, while the other wielded the dragon tail as its weapon to attack.
Meanwhile, the main body had perfectly calculated how she would evade where she would step.
So he waited.
The instant she stepped into that spot, Kent materialised from the shadows like a phantom and pressed a dagger toward Meiko’s neck.
Or at least, he tried to.
The moment the dagger came within inches of Meiko’s neck, Kent felt an overwhelming force slam into his back, sending him hurtling through the sky like a et.
Unfortunately for him, this time he slammed into a passing asteroid, sending a wave of pain surging through his body. However, thanks to the Jade Void Wings, he forced himself to e to a halt.
The three pairs of black-and-red wings were playing their role perfectly. However, despite their aid in stabilising his body, Kent knew there was no way he could escape any further attacks if this were a real battle.
’I am still too weak against Celestials.’
He smiled and wiped the blood from the corner of his lips before narrowing his eyes at Meiko, who stood calmly in the air, gazing back at him with a smile on her face.
"You are enjoying this, aren’t you?" Kent asked.
She spread her arms and nodded.
"More than I ever dreamed. I always wanted to beat you, Fjorge. It was just that no matter how hard I tried back then, I never could." A grin spread across her face before she added, "Now, however, I can beat the hell out of you before you regain your true strength."
Kent stared at her for a long moment before a smile slowly formed on his face.
"You know, I never expected to fight a Celestial this early in my journey. However, since I know nothing I do can kill you, allow me to test just how strong I have bee as a swordsman."
Kent tightened his grip on his sword.
Then, a terrifying wave of Sword Intent and Sword Aura erupted from his body, forming a vast sea of swords. Kent decided to unleash his Genesis Sword Realm.
The sea surged so violently that, for a moment, it was as though a Celestial swordsman had descended upon the battlefield.
"This is..."
Meiko furrowed her brow, clearly unable to believe that what she was seeing was merely a Sword Realm. It hadn’t even reached the level of a Sword Domain, yet it made her bee stunned.
"Taste my Genesis Sword Realm Meiko."
Kent slashed his sword forward, and the sea of swords surged like a colossal tide, rushing toward Meiko at such terrifying speed that she barely had time to snap out of her stunned expression before she was pletely engulfed.
To the ordinary eye, it looked like nothing more than a surging ocean.
However, to the trained eye, that "water" was actually billions of swords packed so densely together that they appeared to flow like a single, unstoppable sea.
