Chapter 703: Weak Fla Resistance

The chaos fla devoured the “Blaze Wisp” fla as if it were a spoonful of dinner. It happened so easily that Kent only felt his soul fla grow stronger for a second, and that was all.
“I need to add more if I want to increase the quality to Tier 7. I need to get to Tier 7 before I can concoct Tier 9 pills, and that should happen much faster if I want to have a shot at defeating the Pill Princess.”
Kent smiled and then decided to go deeper into the Fla Valley’s core region. The danger started to show as he moved deeper.
If anyone were to find out that Kent was roaming freely in the core region of the Fla Valley, they would probably claw their faces raw, peeling every layer of skin off in utter disbelief.
Such recklessness was unheard of—no one dared tread that scorching inferno without overwhelming strength or a death wish.
The sheer shock that would riddle them would be too much for their minds to comprehend, shattering their sense of reality and making their hearts pound with terror.
They would probably end up fearing Kent.
Why that?
Because before anyone dared traverse the scorching expanse of land, they had to co in teams. Teams of able and capable warriors dared to venture into the core region of the Fla Valley, not a single human.
But even with a team, not all managed to co back alive. That is how harrowing the core region of the Fla Valley is, and because of that, if they found out Kent was alone and freely walking through the domain of fire, they would probably picture him as a devil.
The heat alone is sothing that many had to invest millions of spirit stones in fla resistance pills before they dared enter the scorching depths of the Fla Valley.
However, the Chaos Dragon was moving even deeper into the core region, which, if he managed to cross, would put him inside the inner area on the other side and eventually find himself in the outer section, where he could continue his journey.
The next beast Kent faced was a “Burning Mantis.” It was a rather beautiful creature that would have been left alone to wander the vast scorched valley, but it attacked first, so Kent killed it.
He didn’t gain a fla spirit from it, but it dropped a core filled with fla energy.
It was the first ti Kent ca across a beast dropping a core, so he quickly absorbed it. Right then, he felt the change.

“Looks like attaining weak resistance to fla has already made immune to the heat in this region…” Kent smiled. “I never knew a weak resistance was all it would take to feel at ho here… Looks like this valley is not that dangerous.”
With this new resolve, Kent started moving deeper into the core region, looking for the next beast to kill and the next fla spirit to devour…
However, even after moving for several hours and killing dozens of Fla Beasts, he never acquired a single fla spirit. However, he gained two more cores, which provided a boost to his fire resistance.
Not that he needed to resist anything…
Of course, aside from gaining two more cores, he also discovered that his resistance to attacks from fla skills had improved slightly.
Aside from resisting harmful attacks, he essentially allowed the weaker ones to land on him, gradually building his resistance.
Eventually, he started allowing the stronger attacks to land on him. Though it hurt like hell, he saw a boost in both his body cultivation and fla resistance, so he couldn’t complain.
Eventually, Kent t his next target, one who had a fla spirit.

It was a welco ssage to Kent, so he faced the brute fla beast that ca, shaking the very ground it ran on. Unlike the Beetle, this one couldn’t fly, so the battle was grounded.
It took just five minutes, but by the end, the two-mile radius was destroyed beyond repair. Kent tried to handle most of the attacks defenseless, but it was a failed attempt, for he never had the heart to stand against a moving truck of pure stone muscle slamming into him.
Kent had to distance himself three kiloters before the Void Cleave was able to penetrate the body of the beast. It was one tough bastard that wouldn’t just die.
Of course, Kent didn’t use too much force, as he was learning to wield his skills with minimal effort. He wanted to gain a much deeper understanding of them, since, aside from attaining seven-sword enlightennt, he must also lay the foundation for the three-sword moves.
So while using techniques like the “Nine Calamities Sword Strike” could have killed any of the beasts he faced easily, he focused more on combat experience and understanding, which in the long run will co in handy.
After getting the fla spirit, Kent fed it to the Chaos Fla, which beca much more powerful; however, it still hadn’t reached the sixth Tier.
But Kent pressed on and eventually ca across another beast…
This ti it was a “Firemane Lion,” one terrifying beast. But it took Kent a minute to handle it. Then, from there, he began to follow the path that led deeper into the core region.
The Chaos Fla was almost at the Tier 6 stage, so Kent was pushing to at least get there before his ti to leave the Valley arrived.
He had spent over a day there already, aning he had less than two days to get to the Half-Elf Kingdom. He wanted to arrive a day early so he could get accustod to the place before venturing out.
Eventually, Kent ca across another beast, and after defeating it, he fed the spirit fla to his Soul Fla. He finally managed to raise his soul fla to Tier 6…
