The wild old lady just discovered this escapee, and she was about to nail him with an arrow, but Jiang Lai stopped her.

"Grandma, you go back and rest for a while. I’ll handle this."

The two old ladies obediently left, though their expressions showed they were slightly unsatisfied.

Jiang Lai squatted down to look at the Bear Clan mber entangled in the barbed wire; he had already transford into human form as bear fur would only get tangled tighter in the wire.

The spikes on the wire have already pierced his skin, and now he is nearly soaked in blood, his entire body showing hardly a single uninjured spot.

Even so, the gaze towards Jiang Lai was still filled with frenzied aggression.

This is a bear, stubborn, savage, not very bright, otherwise he wouldn’t keep charging into it despite knowing it would hurt.

"Cut the wire on both sides, carry him inside."

"Cut the wire?"

Ayuan didn’t understand.

Iron is so precious, why cut the wire?

Clearly, cutting the bear inside would be more cost-effective.

It was his first ti questioning Jiang Lai’s decision, his gaze at this bear filled with hatred.

Indeed, this thing had killed many from the Wolf Clan. It’s certain the Wolf Clan hates the Bear Clan, who share the sa forest, the most.

"Cut it, take him away."

Ayuan stopped speaking, followed Jiang Lai’s instructions to cut both ends of the wire, then put on gloves and dragged the wire along with the Bear Clan mber inside.

The fence needed rebuilding.

The old leader led the people, fixing both fences overnight, setting the knocked-down stakes outside back up, wrapping the wire properly, and electrifying it.

For now, no other Beast Clan would invade.

After all, the Bear Clan is an example this ti; the resources of this tribe aren’t as easy to rob as one might think.

In the evening, Jiang Lai took stock of the losses this ti.

Luckily, these Bear Clan mbers didn’t damage the fields and houses.

Two uncles were injured, not by the Bear Clan, but from twisting their ankles while climbing ladders; their ankles are still swollen now.

Jiang Lai tossed them a bottle of Yunnan Baiyao.

"Spray it, and try not to walk on this foot."

"With the divine dicine granted by the Beast Spirit, I will recover soon!"

Jiang Lai followed with a smile.

"It seems the Beast Spirit likes a lot."

"You are chosen by the Beast Spirit as the Beast King, you will be the greatest leader of the entire continent."

"Alright, alright, that’s enough flattery for today, you guys go rest, I’ll handle this bear."

The spikes on the wire are poisoned, and soon this fierce bear beca docile; from losing too much blood and poisoning, his face turned pale and his eyelids drooped, looking like he was near death.

In fact, he had already prepared to be killed.

Yet Jiang Lai didn’t bother him, waited until he was nearly on his last breath before she used pliers to cut the wire and freed him.

Beside him, Ayuan didn’t understand but still followed Jiang Lai’s instructions, prepared a basin of warm water, helped the bear clean the blood off, then applied dicine and bandaged him.

From start to finish, this Bear Clan mber stared at Jiang Lai intensely, eyes filled with hatred as if ready to bite her to death at any mont.

Jiang Lai ignored him, busily playing with the dagger in her hand, watching the sky outside growing darker.

"Ayuan, turn on the light."

Ayuan turned on the electric lamp, and in an instant, the room lit up.

This bear was obviously startled, his previous fierce look now replaced by a dazed expression staring at the dazzling light overhead, his already seemingly unintelligent face now even more blockheaded.

Jiang Lai sat under the light, surrounded by a layer of yellow halo.

The Bear Clan mber stared at her blankly, completely forgetting the perilous situation he was in.

"This is a lamp, dispelling darkness and bringing light, it’s a treasure given to by the Beast Spirit.

What binds you, the wire, is also granted by the Beast Spirit, to let act on her behalf to punish wrongdoers among the Beast Clan.

You and your clansn invaded my territory, disturbing the resting place of the Beast Spirit.

The Beast Spirit was disturbed and granted weapons to punish you."

"Beast Spirit... Beast Spirit Lord..."

The bear before her was terrified.

Among the Beast World Continent, the most revered deity is none other than the Beast Spirit.

She’s a deity all Beast Clans worship; everyone believes she brings light, rain, and food to the continent, blessing Beast Clans to thrive for generations.

Every tribe has a Beast Spirit statue for worship.

Looking at Jiang Lai now, she indeed resembles a Beast Spirit statue, surrounded by a golden glow.

Sacred, serene.

With all the evidence before him, he couldn’t help but believe.

He staggered, using his last bit of strength to crawl up, kneeling before Jiang Lai, weakly and devotedly pleading.

"Please tell the Beast Spirit Lord, we didn’t an it, I was wrong, please take my life, but don’t harm our offspring."

Jiang Lai looked at him and asked.

"How many clansn are in your tribe now?"

"During this hunt, all the males participated; in the tribe now, there are only females and younglings left.

Please don’t harm them."

Jiang Lai reached out, patting his head.

The bear looked at her confusedly, his eyes no longer ferocious, only filled with the primal sincerity and simplicity of an animal, and naturally, foolishness.

Like the Wolf Clan, the Bear Clan is a hierarchically strict, well-organized race.

They highly protect their young because of low fertility rates, making them one of the most protective beastn on the Beast World Continent.

Especially the females, they will do anything to protect their offspring.

Jiang Lai pondered.

"The Beast Spirit has sensed your repentance; the Lord is rciful, knows your invasion of other tribes was to nourish your young.

Therefore, the Beast Spirit has decided to give you a chance.

Bring your young and join our tribe, receive the blessings of the Beast Spirit together."

The Bear Clan mber was dumbfounded. Jiang Lai waited a long ti for his mind to start working again.

"Really?"

"The Beast Spirit blesses our tribe, making it rich and prosperous, and now the tribe needs more beastn for protection.

She has chosen you, considering you brave and loyal, willing to give you a chance to build a new tribal ho.

Do you agree?"

The Bear Clan mber widened his eyes, nodding repeatedly.

"I agree! I agree! Can our clansn co too?"

"No, only you, the females, and your younglings."

The Bear Clan mber froze, surprised by this outco.

But then Jiang Lai slowly spoke.

"Think about it, where is the best place for the younglings to live?"

Isn’t that obvious? It’s here.

When they rushed into the tribe, they saw clearly everywhere was full of food.

Any place with soil was lush and bountiful, the sll tempting his taste buds.

"If you are decided, once healed, you can return and explain clearly to your clansn.

Rember, those allowed inside are only you, the females, and your younglings."
