Fan ijie’s parents are formidable martial artists, so their family is very well-off. The safe zone provides many benefits to advanced martial artists, which is why Fan ijie’s parents can own a small villa in this highly coveted area.

The villa isn’t big; it’s a duplex with a small garden and even a swimming pool in the back—a luxurious setup indeed.

After entering the villa district gate, Qu Shuangshuang and Fan ijie took the hover car for another five or six minutes before arriving at Fan ijie’s villa entrance.

Fan ijie scanned her iris, and as the door lock opened, Qu Shuangshuang followed her into the villa and imdiately saw Father Fan and Mrs. Fan sitting inside.

Once inside, Qu Shuangshuang was warmly greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Fan. Parents often prefer their children to associate with those who excel academically.

Parents believe in the saying "one is influenced by one’s company," thinking that associating with poor students can lead to negative influences, while being around good students can only be beneficial.

Undoubtedly, Qu Shuangshuang was seen as one of those high-achievers who could positively influence their children—essentially a parent-approved friend.

After warmly greeting and welcoming Qu Shuangshuang to their ho, Fan ijie’s father headed to the study to read. Since their guest is a female friend, he thought it best to leave to avoid making the girls feel restricted.

Better to bury himself in a book in the study than to hang around awkwardly, making the girls self-conscious.

"You must be Shuangshuang? Our Jie always tells us you’re her best friend, and she’s grateful for the tutoring you’ve been giving her. I’m really thankful and hope you visit often. I’ll be sure to prepare so delicious food for you," Mrs. Fan said, her eyes full of approval.

Mrs. Fan looked at Qu Shuangshuang with satisfaction, seeing a poised and sensible child. Her deanor suggested she was well-mannered and mature.

Qu Shuangshuang quickly handed over the gift box she brought. "It’s my first visit, so I’m not sure what to gift. Inside are so wild fruits I picked during the martial arts joint exam. They’re not valuable but taste nice and are quite unique. I hope you’ll enjoy them."

"Oh, you shouldn’t have brought anything. But these wild fruits are great; I’m fond of them. Thanks. Let’s not make it a habit next ti." Mrs. Fan accepted the gift and continued to welco her warmly before heading to the kitchen.

Mrs. Fan was enthusiastic about having Shuangshuang stay for dinner, and seeing no way out, Qu Shuangshuang agreed.

Once Mrs. Fan left for the kitchen, Fan ijie seed relieved. She was quite afraid of her mom at ho; in contrast to other families’ strict fathers and lenient mothers, hers was the opposite—strict mother, gentle father.

Being conditioned to fear parental reprimand, Fan ijie’s nerves always tensed when seeing her mother, worried about being scolded for any mistake.

anwhile, as Mrs. Fan was in the kitchen, before Shuangshuang could inquire about Aunt Wu’s whereabouts for her brother, she saw Aunt Wu appear.

Aunt Wu must have heard the noise and sensed that Shuangshuang had arrived, so she ca down from the second floor, holding Qu Chang’an in her arms.

Seeing it was indeed Shuangshuang, Aunt Wu hurriedly carried Qu Chang’an over and placed the well-behaved child in Shuangshuang’s arms, where he remained as adorably docile as when they last parted.

Seeing her well-cared-for, chubby brother, Shuangshuang was full of gratitude for Aunt Wu’s help.

"Aunt Wu, thank you so much. Without your help watching Chang’an, there would’ve been no way for to take part in the martial arts joint exam. I can’t thank you enough."

Then she handed another gift box to Aunt Wu. "Here are so wild fruits I’ve gathered. They’re not expensive, but please accept them as a token of my appreciation."

Aunt Wu accepted the gift with a delighted smile. "Don’t ntion it; this little one was a joy to care for. He didn’t cry or fuss at all. It really wasn’t any trouble."

It’s obvious Aunt Wu was fond of Qu Chang’an, and with his quiet and agreeable nature, it’s hard not to be smitten.

Compared to those babies who wail like little demons, Chang’an is truly like an angel.

Listening to Aunt Wu recount the amusing incidents involving Chang’an in her absence, sharing a al, and exchanging friendly conversations with Fan ijie’s parents, Shuangshuang left with an ample stash of frozen dumplings and waived her hosts goodbye with ijie before starting toward her own ho.

Fan ijie packed so clothes and left with Shuangshuang; staying at ho just wasn’t her preference.

At ho, she acted very ladylike, as her mother wanted her to be more demure, trying to mold her into a poised young lady—though without much success, as ijie’s true spirited nature ca through.

Finally out of the house, ijie brightened up and started chatting animatedly with Shuangshuang, mainly venting about her family dynamics. Her father, who seed outwardly temperantal, was actually soft, while her mother, despite seeming gentle, was incredibly assertive.

Having vented about family matters, ijie pondered on the rewards they’d earned from the joint exam—they had together hunted nearly twenty Giant-mouthed Beasts.

"Shuangshuang, have you thought about what to do with our exam rewards? We can’t possibly eat all these Giant-mouthed Beasts ourselves, but we have no clue how to sell them either.

Oh dear, I shouldn’t have dragged you out so quickly. My parents often hunt mutant beasts; they’d surely know where to sell these Giant-mouthed Beasts."

Qu Shuangshuang, holding Chang’an’s little hand, couldn’t help but admire her brother with adoration, thinking how could such a cute child exist.

Without lifting her head, she answered ijie’s concerns, "What’s there to worry about? Our school’s cafeteria regularly purchases mutant beasts. Over the holiday breaks, the cafeteria stays open, doing brisk business. We can just sell them there."

"Is that possible? Then why didn’t you tell back when we were still in school? Now we have to make the trip again just to sell them."

"The Giant-mouthed Beast has many tasty parts; I’m planning that we first dissect them, keep the best parts for ourselves, and sell the rest."
