Now reading: Chapter 121: THREE VS ONE from REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO, a Fantasy novel by MdSourav9983.

The mont all three enemies lunged forward, Logan’s battle instinct kicked in.

His body blurred like a phantom, dodging to the side as two spells collided where he had just been standing.

Boom—!

A shockwave of fire and wind exploded, sending dust and shattered rocks flying. The carriage behind him shook violently, and the coachman dove for cover.

Logan narrowed his eyes.

"One of them is a fire mage—probably the one with the orb. The blade user is too fast as his speed was boosted with magic... air mage.

And the leader... he’s definitely using gravity magic." Logan murmured to himself.

He could tell that the leader just used gravity magic to pin him down to his position. But they didn’t know what Logan was capable of. Thirty tis gravity? For him, that was barely resistance anymore.

He raised his left hand just in ti to block a burst of fla as water surged around his palm and extinguished it with a hiss. At the sa ti, his right hand flicked in front of him, generating a sudden gust of air that threw the fire mage off balance.

But Logan didn’t have ti to breathe.

The air mage appeared behind him in a blink, blades shimring with wind-infused speed.

Logan spun, barely catching the strike with a barrier of ice. The clash echoed like a thunderous crack.

"Not bad," the air mage sneered, kicking Logan backward.

The leader finally moved again. But this ti he didn’t use gravity—his feet didn’t make a sound, but his presence swallowed the light itself. Tendrils of darkness stretched toward Logan like living serpents.

Logan tried to leap away, but one of the tendrils wrapped around his ankle and yanked him to the ground.

"Tch! So he has shadow affinity as well." Logan spat.

Shadow magic was different from normal elental affinities. Sa as bone magic. They were like paradox. Nobody knew how those who use it actually do it.

Logan then countered instantly—his body flickered, and lightning burst from his arms, crackling outward. The tendrils recoiled in pain, snapping back as smoke rose from the burned shadows.

Standing up from the ground, Logan straightened his back. Then he thrust his palm into the air.

He looked imposing. Like a war God summoned in a kid’s body.

A burst of wind spiraled around him in a tight cyclone, forcing all three enemies to pull back montarily.

But it was just that—montary. He was still just a Tier 1 mage.

Earlier, he had overwheld two Tier 3s and even a Tier 4 with sheer speed and strength from his internal energy—but more than power, it was surprise that had won him that fight.

This ti, there was no elent of surprise. All three enemies were on high alert, ready for him.

He couldn’t blitz one without leaving himself open to the other two.

And with only Tier 1 spells at his disposal, he was severely outmatched—because against Tier 4 and 5 mages, weak spells weren’t just ineffective... they were aningless.

The fire mage grinned. "He’s good. But let’s see how long he can last."

He raised both hands, forming an intricate circle of flas in the air. A blazing serpent roared into existence and launched forward.

Logan’s eyes flashed. He raised his hand and conjured a wall of ice in front of him. The fire serpent slamd into it—

CRACK—BOOM!

Steam exploded everywhere, and Logan used the fog as cover...weaving through it with quick bursts of wind to reposition himself.

But the leader of the three was already waiting.

"You’re slowing down," he growled.

Two blades of condensed shadow shot from his staff, aiming directly at Logan’s chest.

"Tch—!"

Logan crossed his arms, forming a double-layered ice barrier—but the force still threw him back.

He crashed into the dirt with a grunt, rolling across the ground.

His body ached.

"Damn it! Even with everything I have in store, I am still nothing compared to them."

That was the harsh reality. The power level gap was too huge. If it was just one, he could easily co out victorious with his speed and strength, thanks to internal energy. But against three? That was too much.

Still, he forced himself to stand.

He extended both arms outward.

He manipulated gravity.

The surrounding air warped, and the fire mage stumbled, surprised by the sudden weight pressing down on them.

"Gravity?" the shadow mage muttered, eyes narrowing. "Does he have unlimited number of affinities? What the hell?"

Logan clenched his fists, panting.

But his strength... was running out.

The three attackers didn’t speak again.

They just charged.

The leader’s gravity to repel Logan’s, air blades, shadow spikes, and fireballs rained down all at once.

Logan tried to dodge—but his reaction even with all his internal energy was a fraction too slow.

A shadow tendril slashed his side.

"Ghh...!" He staggered.

The air mage’s blade was already swinging at his back—ready to knock him out.

For a split second Logan thought, "it’s all over."

But just then—when he thought, he would soon be captured or killed....

BOOM—!

A thunderous blast of fire erupted between them.

The air mage was sent flying, crashing into a tree with a strangled yell.

Everyone turned sharply.

Beside the road, from forest edge, two figures appeared—both of them cloaked in long black robes embroidered with golden runes.

Their presence was suffocating.

The leader stepped back instinctively.

"Who are you—?!"

The taller of the two n raised a palm, revealing a Court Mage insignia burned into a steel bracer.

"I suggest you step away from the boy," he said coldly.

The shorter one drew a long staff crackling with lightning. "We’ve been watching long enough."

The leader’s face twisted with fury.

"Court mages...?" He paused for a bit but then continued with a wicked grin again. "So what? You think we are afraid of you? If you don’t want to die, then leave imdiately. Or else...."

He didn’t finish his sentence but the aning was clear.

"Oh really! Let’s see what you can really do then." The tall man snapped. He felt insulted because even after showing the identification of a court mage the opponent didn’t back down. It was a clear insult to the organisation.

The fight resud. But this ti it was three versus three. The tall court mage went for the leader. The short one went for the one with the orb. And Logan was left with the one with the blades. Though he was in rough shape, the arrival of two new allies reignited his spirit—fueling his rage and battle instinct once more.
