The two mages who arrived for Logan’s help, were actually order by John William, the head judge from the Arcadia Young Elite tournant a few days back, to keep an eye on Logan. They only arrived in Solvane last morning. Or else they would have helped Logan during the dungeon break as well.

In the middle of the road, the battle raged on at a furious pace—but this ti, the scene looked completely different from just monts ago.

The three attackers who had ambushed Logan and overwheld him before the arrival of the court mages were no longer in control.

Now, despite giving their full effort, they were steadily being pushed back.

The taller court mage swung his right hand in a wide arc and fire blaze disrupted the shadow mage’s tendrils before they could even reform. He tried to pin the court mage with gravity and hurled a shadow blade at him. But what welcod him were two fiery spheres blazing with fire. One shattered the blade and the other slamd squarely in his chest sending him flying.

anwhile, the shorter one was like a thunderstorm unleashed—his lightning magic danced violently across the battlefield, keeping the fire mage on the defensive. Every ti the fla wielder tried to chant, a bolt would crack the air and force him to dodge instead.

And Logan?

Even injured, his strikes carried weight. As now he was only facing one opponent, he could easily close the power level gap with his internal energy and boosted speed and strength from it.

He faced off against the air mage with raw force and precision. Every ti the enemy swung his blades, Logan would dodge it easily with his incredible speed and hit him instead. His counters were clean—internal energy to move like a blur and attack with everything he could conjure. Air fist, fire ball, ice blade slash, lightning fist punch. Each strike was different from the last one. His opponent couldn’t even strategy how to react or how to counter.

For the first ti since the ambush began, the three attackers looked cornered.

"Don’t tell ... we’re actually losing to this brat and two lapdogs," the fire mage with the orb growled, sweat dripping from his brow.

The leader of the attackers gritted his teeth. "Enough of this."

He slamd the base of his staff into the ground.

A deep, guttural hum filled the air—low and heavy, like a buried beast awakening. The staff he held began to glow dark red, strange symbols flickering across its shaft.

"What the hell is that...?" Logan was totally stunned.

The two court mages tensed imdiately.

"That’s actually an artifact?!" the taller one barked. "Get back—!"

But it was too late.

With a sharp twist of the staff, the leader activated the artifact fully.

A black do of energy exploded outward. Space distorted. Gravity intensified to a crushing level.

Even Logan collapsed to one knee, the sudden force pinning him down. The two court mages were already flattened, groaning under the weight.

Logan’s eyes widened. " How is this possible?" He could tell it as he had already experienced the effects of gravity. The pressure he felt was atleast seventy tis more than normal gravity. Far above the level he had practiced with.

The enemy leader grinned and announced proudly. "Amplifier Staff. It multiplies the output of any magic channeled through it... including gravity."

He didn’t wait for a response.

"Now!" he shouted.

The other two attackers rushed forward. The fire mage and air mage grabbed Logan by both arms, binding him with fiery binding that glowed faintly but didn’t burn him.

Gritting his teeth Logan struggled to break free. But the the combination of binding shackles and the pressure of gravity was too much for him face at once. And unlike his gravity manipulation, the leader’s magic was different. He didn’t create a domain. Instead he could put pressure on anyone he wanted. That’s why his subordinates could move easily.

A thin, glinting needle appeared in the air mage’s hand, as he crouched beside Logan.

"No—" one of the court mages blurted out with difficulty. He had recognised the needle.

But it was already too late.

The needle pierced Logan’s upper arm.

A cold sensation rushed through his veins. It felt familiar.

Tranquilin Needle!

A poison made for sealing magic casting capabilities for atleast twenty four hours.

Logan’s eyes widened as he felt he couldn’t manipulate mana anymore. Just like the tournant when he faced off against fake Lira Wynn.

The fire mage smirked. "There. No more spells. Let’s move."

"What about the two pests?" the air mage asked.

The leader didn’t hesitate. "We have to kill them. We can’t leave back any trail behind."

Logan panicked. He didn’t want soone else to die protecting him, but he was helpless at the mont. He shouted with everything he had, "No don’t do that. I will go with you. Leave them al...." But he couldn’t even finish what he was saying.

The leader made a gesture...

It was already too late for Logan to stop.

A wave of shadow blades pierced the two court mages before they could even react.

Blood splattered across the dirt.

Logan’s vision blurred.

Despair and guilt consud him. Two people died trying to protect him.

The two court mage’s corpse lay motionless.

And Logan was being dragged away—arms bound, magic sealed. The attackers didn’t even bother gagging him.

He was just like a cripple now. A sealed, powerless boy.

The group started their journey, moving fast—blurring through the forest, hopping from root to rock, branch to branch. After running for almost three hours, they reached the base of the mountains—an endless chain of jagged cliffs and narrow ledges.

They started climbing—one step at a ti, dragging Logan behind like a sac.

Hours passed.

They didn’t stop to take rest, as they wanted to reach their destination soon. But they moved in a relaxed manner. They had already achieved their goal. And with the tranquilin seal in effect, they didn’t worry about Logan running away.

Being forced, Logan continued advancing with them, but his mind wasn’t idle.

He had been captured—two people had died because of him—

He refused to accept this cruel fate.

To surrender now would make their sacrifice aningless. He was waiting for a chance to strike back.

And after waiting for a long ti, his awaited chance finally ca.....
