"No, Father. I know it sounds unrealistic, but that’s really what happened," Xiao said.

Wang went silent. His expression made it clear he didn’t want to believe it — yet he couldn’t deny the possibility either. After all, soone capable of awakening the Golden Dragon’s Inheritance had to be heaven-defying in every way.

"Fine. But why didn’t you bring him along?" Wang finally asked.

"We wanted to. But he refused to co with us," Chianxu replied.

"And you just let it go like that? You should’ve tried harder to convince him. How difficult could it be? He’s only sixteen," Wang said, displeased.

"You have no idea what he’s capable of, Father. He may have just stepped into Martial Saint, but his prowess is terrifying. He killed two Martial Saints like he was chopping wood," Chianxu said, eyes filled with both admiration and fear.

"Tell everything," Wang ordered.

Chianxu and Xiao then began explaining everything from the start — how they encountered the three mbers of the Evil Spirit Families upon reaching the location where Logan was undergoing his tribulation, how Logan killed two of them without batting an eye, and how decisively he acted.

Wang fell silent after hearing the entire account.

"So he wants our family head to go et him in person, but refuses to co here himself," Wang muttered after a while.

"Yes. That’s what he said," Chianxu confird.

"He might be monstrously talented, but his recklessness isn’t any less impressive," Wang sighed. "Whatever. I’ll speak with the family head. You two get so rest and be prepared for your next task, whatever it turns out to be."

"Yes, Father," both replied in unison.

Wang then headed inside to et the family head.

The old man from earlier was sitting in a lotus position inside his room when Wang arrived and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" the old man’s coarse, gravelly voice echoed from within.

"It’s , Wang, Master."

"Enter."

Wang stepped in. "Master, we have found the person."

The old man’s eyes snapped open, excitent flashing within them. "Good. Has he co here?"

"No, Master. He refused. He said if we wish to talk, you would have to go to him."

Saying that, Wang ntally braced himself for a scolding. But to his surprise, the old man didn’t lash out. Instead, he simply fell silent, deep in thought. After so ti, he spoke.

"Tell what happened when Xiao and Chianxu went to bring him." He already knew exactly who Wang had sent.

Wang then recounted the entire story just as Xiao and Chianxu had told him.

When he finished, the old man said calmly, "Very well. I will go myself."

"What? Master, you can’t! You know what will happen if you do that, right?"

"I know. But speaking to him takes priority. Our very existence revolves around guiding him toward the path he must walk. If we fail, not just this universe — even the upper heavens will face destruction."

"What do you an by that? What heavens?" Wang asked, stunned.

"You will understand when the ti cos. For now, the urgent matter is eting him."

"Alright... then you can leave tomorrow."

"No. I will leave imdiately. Now that he has appeared, there is no point wasting even a single extra second. Tell either Xiao or Chianxu to lead to where I can find this boy."

"Understood, Master. I will speak to them at once."

While the Long Family Head began preparing to et Logan, elsewhere in Spirit Mountain, another gathering was taking place — not just one family, but three. And none of them belonged to the Spirit Families.

They were all from the Evil Spirit Families.

A man slamd his palm onto the table, cracking the wood beneath it. "How dare he kill a mber of our family!" he roared.

"It wasn’t just your Feng Family, Yuhe," another said coldly. "mbers of our families were killed as well. All three we sent were wiped out by that person."

"So he’s already joined hands with the Spirit Families," soone muttered darkly.

"No. The ones sent by those families were Chianxu and Xiao. When they returned, their expressions made it clear they had failed. That person didn’t agree to go with them."

"Then there’s still a chance to negotiate."

"Negotiate? Negotiate?!" Yuhe exploded in rage. "He killed my son, Li Feng! I’ll skin him alive!"

"Calm down, Yuhe. mbers of our families died too — you know that," another retorted. "But if we want to ascend to the upper heavens, we need his help, one way or another."

"Then I’ll beat the crap out of him and force him to help us. After he serves his purpose, I’ll let him die," Yuhe hissed.

This ti, none of them refuted him. Their main purpose was to achieve their goal — by any ans necessary.

Back at the Smith Villa...

After Logan returned, Rowan woke up a few hours later. Once Logan explained everything, the situation finally cald down. Now, Logan was seated in his room, taking a rare break from cultivation.

"Just one more level... then I’ll finally be able to attack the final dungeon boss," he whispered, clenching his fist as he felt the surge of newfound power.

At that mont, Audrey appeared before him, hovering gracefully in the air.

"Congratulations on your breakthrough," she said.

"Thanks. I thought I’d need more ti before I could challenge the dungeon boss. But now I’m a lot closer. Just a few more years, and I’ll be a Martial Emperor again. Then defeating that dungeon boss won’t be a problem."

"Yes. The sooner the better. Once you defeat them, we can head back to our planet."

Hearing that, Logan went silent. He knew he’d eventually have to leave this world, but the thought of being separated from his mother — possibly for years — made his heart heavy.

Sensing his hesitation, Audrey spoke softly, "Don’t worry. There are elves capable of using void magic. If you manage to learn it, you’ll be able to cover trendous distances in a very short ti."

"There’s a magic like that? I thought magic was limited to affinities."

"There is. Although most magic revolves around elental affinities, there are special exceptions."

"Alright... and do you think I can learn sothing like that?"

"I’m not completely certain," Audrey admitted, "but considering how quickly you comprehended how to use magic without mana — sothing I thought would take you a few years, if not a decade... yet you grasped it within monts. With you, nothing can surprise anymore."
