Due to Thomas Fisher, Christopher Turner’s mood now is much better than before. Even when Alice Turner rebutted him, he didn’t get angry; he just felt a little upset.
"So people are just born with three heads and six arms, they are just different from us ordinary people." In his eyes and heart, this is how he believes it to be. People like Thomas Fisher are just much stronger than they are.
"Mom! I’m going upstairs with Lily." Alice Turner really couldn’t stand it anymore. She pulled Lily Turner up from the sofa, ready to go upstairs to find so peace, but soone was unwilling.
Seeing Alice pulling Lily to go upstairs, Christopher Turner imdiately spoke to stop her, "Don’t rush off yet. I still have a lot to ask you."
There were many things he hadn’t figured out, so how could he just easily let her leave.
"I know what you want to ask, no need to be indirect about it. I’ll just tell you now." Alice Turner took a deep breath, turned to look at Christopher Turner, and spoke firmly: "Thomas Fisher and I are more than just ordinary friends, we are a couple."
After speaking, she pulled her sister to head out of the living room.
Christopher Turner didn’t know if he had misunderstood or if he was just happily stunned, "What do you an by you’re not just ordinary friends but a couple? You..."
"Stop asking Alice any more questions. If there’s anything unclear, I’ll explain it to you." After being silent for quite a while, Sophia Wood suddenly spoke up, both stopping Christopher Turner from blocking Alice and Lily, and gestured for them to go upstairs and leave.
Alice Turner glanced at Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood, and then left the living room with Lily.
Seeing the two sisters leave, Sophia Wood then withdrew her gaze to look at Christopher Turner, "Alice made it very clear just now, and I think you understood it well too. Alice is with Thomas Fisher."
It should have been a happy thing for Alice Turner to find a man who truly loves her, but seeing Christopher Turner like that, Sophia Wood felt particularly irritated, a kind of annoyance that just didn’t feel right.
"When did the two of them get together? Did you know all along? Why didn’t you tell earlier?" Christopher Turner asked Sophia Wood with dissatisfaction. Although he was unhappy with Sophia Wood for not telling him sooner, he was actually not unhappy at all; he was very happy and excited.
The anger he felt over Alice Turner divorcing Benjamin Shaw was now nowhere to be found.
Sophia Wood really disliked Christopher Turner’s attitude. He was so angry before, and now he’s so excited. She knew that whether he was angry or excited, it all stemd from one reason: his obsession with power.
"Christopher! Can you genuinely care about Alice as a person? Is she truly happy now? Is she joyful?" Not caring about her own daughter’s feelings but caring about irrelevant things, she was really fed up with his attitude.
"Isn’t this caring for her? If she marries well, she will be happy and joyful." Christopher Turner did not realize at all what was inappropriate or wrong about his actions. He had always believed that what he did was correct, all for the good of everyone in the family.
Seeing Christopher Turner still in this terrible state, Sophia Wood couldn’t help but angrily retort, "Do you think marrying soone powerful and rich ans happiness? ans joy? Christopher Turner! You can’t go on like this. True happiness and joy have nothing to do with those things."
