Alice Turner didn’t say anything, she just tilted her head and gave Thomas Fisher a deep look, then silently linked arms with him and walked into the restaurant, sitting at an empty seat by the window.
As soon as they sat down, a waiter ca over.
Alice Turner didn’t stand on ceremony with Thomas Fisher; she grabbed the nu handed over by the waiter and ordered directly, not only her own food but also his portion.
"Please hurry a bit, we’re in a rush." Alice Turner reminded the waiter when handing back the nu.
"Okay."
After responding, the waiter took the nu and left.
As soon as the waiter left, Thomas Fisher leaned toward Alice Turner, looking at her with disapproval, "Even rushing for a al, I’ll go back with you later to chat with your boss."
He knew about her nickna as a workaholic in the sales industry; he didn’t need to ask how it ca about. Seeing her work so hard really made him feel heartache.
Until yesterday, he didn’t have the proper identity or position to do anything for her, but now he can actually do sothing.
"You dare go!" Alice Turner pointed at Thomas Fisher, her expression on her face extrely serious, without any joking.
Thomas Fisher held her pointing hand down; he wasn’t joking about talking to Alice Turner’s boss. He just wanted her boss to give her less workload and take better care of her in the future.
But what he didn’t expect was her strong reaction.
"Don’t want to go see your boss, then don’t work so hard, because it pains ." Thomas Fisher really wanted to go straight to Alice Turner’s company to find her boss, but the thought that this would upset her made him imdiately drop the idea. However, he didn’t completely give up; he took this chance to negotiate with her.
Hearing Thomas Fisher say that, Alice Turner suddenly laughed and leaned her head on his shoulder like a little woman, "You’re exaggerating a bit; I’m not working that hard, just putting a bit more effort into work."
In her view, he was exaggerating; she was just putting a bit more effort into her work, far from being reckless. If she were reckless, she wouldn’t be in this situation now.
"Just a bit more effort? Then how did you earn the nickna of ’workaholic’?" Thomas Fisher didn’t agree with Alice Turner’s remarks at all, tapping her head as it rested on his shoulder. But seeing her resting on his shoulder, a pleasant arc ford at the corner of his lips.
"How would I know? I didn’t give myself that nickna." Alice Turner spoke without missing a beat, though she knew exactly how the nickna ca about and who first called her that. She was one hundred percent sure she didn’t pick it herself, and she wasn’t too fond of it either.
Dislike aside, she couldn’t stop others’ chatter, and hearing it so much, she’s gradually beco desensitized to it.
Thomas Fisher saw her being a bit of a playful cute, couldn’t resist pinching her nose, "You make a point."
As he spoke, he pinched her nose again.
"Thank you, Young Master Dalton, for the complint!" Alice Turner tilted her head and smiled at a certain man, her pure eyes full of sweet delight.
Seeing her like this, Thomas Fisher felt sweetness in his heart and leaned in to kiss her, "Such sweet words, I like it."
