The call Easton Hols received was from Grant Heath. When he took out the phone earlier, he didn’t actually know who it was, but he thought it might be Grant Heath.
He didn’t recognize the number with the Heath surna, but it didn’t an his wife didn’t recognize it. He didn’t want his wife to worry about anything.
For these reasons, Easton Hols evaded Lily Turner to answer the call, and it turned out his intuition was right; the call was indeed from Grant Heath.
"Easton Hols! Is my mom at your uncle’s house now? What do you think about this?" Grant Heath wasn’t really asking Easton Hols but provoking him.
Easton Hols curled his lips coldly, "I think your mom will soon go back to settle accounts with you. I wonder what you think about this?"
He mimicked the other’s tone and attitude, delivering a blow in return.
"What do you an by that?"
Grant Heath wasn’t unclear about Easton Hols’s words; he just couldn’t believe it. He didn’t expect his mom to co back so quickly. This wasn’t the result he had anticipated, nor the situation he wanted to see.
On the night of New Year’s Eve, after learning about Athena Linton’s identity in a restaurant, Grant Heath suddenly had a thought. He wanted to use Athena Linton’s connections to close the distance between him and Lily Turner, bringing him a step closer to reclaiming Lily.
At first, things went smoothly. His affair with Athena Linton created a stir online. His younger brother saw it, then his mom, and soon everyone in their family.
He hadn’t expected things to go so smoothly, completely beyond his expectations.
But today, his mom failed to achieve her goal, which was an outco he hadn’t anticipated, leaving him very surprised.
Easton Hols, although not exactly sure of the circumstances, could sense Grant Heath’s disappointnt and surprise over the phone. He knew the person on the other end understood his words, "It’s exactly what you think."
His aning was so obvious, easy to understand, with no need to hide it.
"I won’t just let this go, Easton Hols! I’m determined to fight you for her, Lily is mine." Grant Heath always got particularly angry facing Easton Hols, and easily lost his composure due to him. This ti, he was especially infuriated and shouted these words to the phone.

He didn’t want to see her unhappy, nor did he want her to be bothered by these ssy affairs.
He looked up at the blue sky, put away his phone, and turned back inside.
When he pushed the door open, Easton Hols’s deanor had returned to normal. The previous anger and coldness were nowhere to be seen, and the warm smile that only appeared in front of Lily Turner was back on his face.
