As it approached eight o’clock, all the comrades had already gathered at the venue for the soirée, but the main male and female protagonists were nowhere to be seen.
Jaxon Dyer was feeling a bit anxious and quietly sneaked out to call Easton Hols. Once the call connected, he spoke anxiously, "Brother! Where are you and your wife now? All the guys are already here."
Because of his anxiety, his tone beca urgent as well.
"Just keep them entertained; we’ll be there soon." Easton Hols said and, without bothering to see if Jaxon Dyer had more to say, he hung up the phone instinctively.
Just as he hung up, he heard Lily Turner’s apologetic voice from beside him, "I’m sorry, it’s all my fault."
If she had known earlier that her mom was trying to force her to reconcile with that jerk, she wouldn’t have returned, even if it ant getting scolded to death by her mom.
Hearing this, Easton Hols instinctively turned his head to look at her, and after staring at Lily Turner for a while, he slowly said, "Since you know it was your fault, make sure to perform well later. If you do well, there’ll be a reward."
After saying that, he withdrew his gaze, drove away from the Turner Family, and quickly headed towards the Military District Compound.
A reward if she performs well?!
But what if she doesn’t do well? Would he even punish her?
Images of Easton Hols punishing her flashed through Lily Turner’s mind. Damn it! That punishnt was too harsh on her tender lips. Could she ask him to change the way he punishes?
No, wait!
Why was she always thinking about being punished by him? She could perform well later and aim for his reward.
He just said so himself, a good performance would earn her a reward.
To protect her tender lips from being ravished, Lily Turner silently swore to herself that she would definitely perform well later.
That’s what she thought, and that’s what she intended to do.
From the mont she stepped out of the car, Lily Turner was already prepared to face the upcoming challenge.
But she was still a bit nervous. After all, she’d be eting his comrades soon, and she was afraid of embarrassing him if she didn’t perform well.
"Don’t be too nervous, it’s just a small party," Easton Hols held Lily Turner’s hand, offering words of encouragent as she seed a bit tense.
Lily Turner tried to smile casually, "I’m not nervous. I was just thinking about what I should say as my first words when I go in."
She had thought of many things while in the car, but as she reached the entrance, those thoughts seed too clichéd!
"You don’t need to worry about that. Just follow my lead, and even if you don’t say a word, they won’t laugh at you." His comrades were gentlen, and who would dare laugh at his wife? He was not one to let grudges go easily.
After saying that, Easton Hols led Lily Turner in by pushing open the door.
"The commander is here!"
Soone shouted, and everyone turned to look at the entrance.
"Lily Turner?! It’s Lily Turner!"
Soone recognized Lily Turner and exclaid excitedly.
Lily Turner expected to be recognized and anticipated such a scene, so she graciously smiled at the excited man, "Hello! I’m Lily Turner!"
No sooner had she finished speaking when she felt her hand being squeezed tightly by the man next to her. She instinctively turned her head to see his handso yet cold profile.
"Can you give an autograph?"
Upon hearing the man speak to her, Lily Turner instinctively turned her head in the direction of the voice.
