Seeing Easton Hols about to stand up and follow, Lily Turner quickly raised her hand to stop him, "Don’t add any more, or I won’t eat any of this."
She didn’t want to eat anyway, pushing the small bowl aside, looking as if she wouldn’t eat a single noodle if he dared to add more to her bowl.
Wow! Since when did this girl learn to threaten people?
Easton Hols got up and sat next to Lily Turner, reaching out to pinch her rosy lips, "If you don’t eat, I’ll pry open your mouth and feed you."
As he spoke, he indeed picked up the bowl she had just pushed aside.
"What are you doing?"
Seeing Easton Hols pick up her bowl, Lily Turner instinctively leaned back to avoid him. Seeing he took no further action, she reached out and snatched the bowl back from him.
"I can eat by myself, no need for you to feed ." She pointed at the food box on the coffee table with her chopsticks and reminded, "Eat your own, or the noodles will get mushy."
After speaking, she ignored him and started eating her noodles.
Easton Hols shook his head helplessly at Lily Turner, picked up the food box on the coffee table, and was about to eat the noodles when his phone suddenly rang in his pocket.
Putting down the food box he had just picked up, he took out the phone that kept ringing from his pocket. When he saw the number displayed on the screen, his eyebrows furrowed tightly.
With a swift slide of his long fingers on the large phone screen, he hung up the call.
But he hadn’t had ti to put the phone down before it rang again. He glanced down and saw the sa familiar but unwanted number.
He chose to ignore the call once more and set his phone to silent.
Lily Turner had been secretly watching Easton Hols. Seeing his brows furrowed and his expression change dramatically, she felt both puzzled and curious.
Who on earth was calling him to cause such a big change in his mood?
As if sensing Lily Turner’s gaze, Easton Hols turned his head to look at her sitting beside him. By the ti he turned his head, he had already returned to his normal state.
But before he turned, she had already withdrawn her gaze and focused back on the noodles in her bowl. What he saw was her concentrating on eating.
"Are the noodles delicious?"
Easton Hols stared blankly at Lily Turner for quite a while. While Lily seed focused on her noodles, she could feel Easton’s eyes on her. Just as she was about to crumble under the pressure, he suddenly spoke.
Hearing the man by her side finally speak, Lily Turner breathed a sigh of relief, turning to glance at the man who asked her, "They’re quite good!"
The noodles did taste pretty good, but unfortunately, she didn’t like noodles.
"If you like them, I’ll buy them for you another day."
"No way!"
As soon as Easton Hols finished speaking, Lily Turner blurted out imdiately, without even thinking, answering quickly and firmly.
"Didn’t you say they were good?" Easton Hols tilted his head to look at Lily Turner, his face full of confusion.
"Just because they’re good doesn’t an I want to eat them all the ti." Lily Turner replied perfunctorily, worried that Easton might notice sothing. She raised her voice to remind, "Hurry up and eat your noodles, or they’ll really get mushy."
Ding dong!
At that mont, the doorbell suddenly rang.
"Who could it be at this ti?"
An image of Evelyn Taylor suddenly flashed across Lily Turner’s mind. Thinking that it might be Evelyn coming back, her eyes instantly dimd.
