Lily Turner always believed Grant Heath to be soone who works hard and takes things seriously. When the fashion show started, she saw an even more diligent and serious side of him.
Although it was his first ti walking in a runway show, and such a large and prestigious one at that, he didn’t show any stage fright and walked with a natural and confident stride.
Not only did Grant perform well on his own, but when paired with Lily Turner, he coordinated with her seamlessly, walking so smoothly, showing no fear of this unfamiliar scene.
Even before the show started, Lily and Grant had already beco the focus, and as the show progressed, they beca even more the center of attention, with all eyes in the venue fixated on them.
Because of their participation, the show’s fa and impact were unprecedented, exactly what the organizers and sponsors wanted to see.
Clap clap clap!
The spectacular runway show concluded to enthusiastic applause.
"Do you have any plans for later?" Grant asked Lily in a low voice as they walked backstage.
"No plans, I’m heading straight ho!"
Lily thought it must be quite late now, and since she had a family, she couldn’t stay out too long. She didn’t want to linger outside, worried that if surrounded by reporters asking all sorts of questions, she’d really lose her temper.
Even though that ho had a rotating surveillance cara, it was still her ho now, where she found so peace, at least without those pesky reporters.
Grant glanced at his watch, and the timing was just right, the best ti for dinner, "It’s the perfect ti for a al, let’s eat before you head back."
"After eating, I’ll take you ho."
Before Lily could respond, Grant spoke again, not wanting her to turn him down.
However, Lily still politely declined, "I’m on a diet, no feasting at night."
"Just so happens, I’m dieting too lately. I know a place that serves porridge, it’s very light, and I guarantee it won’t make you gain weight. Let take you to try it," Grant said, and without waiting for Lily’s agreent, he took her hand and started walking.
Lily raised her other hand to pat Grant, saying, "Even if we’re going for porridge, we should change clothes first, right?"
They were still wearing their show outfits. Though the clothes looked good, they weren’t their personal belongings.
"So, you agree to have porridge with ?"
Grant’s main point and Lily’s were completely different; she focused on their clothes, while he emphasized the porridge.
Lily didn’t imdiately nod in agreent but stared at Grant. When he thought she wouldn’t respond, she suddenly nodded and said, "Since you saved downstairs today, I’ll graciously accompany you for a bowl of porridge."
She was joking about being gracious, but accompanying him for porridge was no joke. She really needed to thank him today for rescuing her from the reporters.
"That’s great! Lily! Thank you for accompanying for porridge!"
Upon hearing Lily’s words, Grant was so thrilled that he hugged her, his handso face adorned with a joyful smile.
At that mont, a reporter who had slipped backstage captured the scene and imdiately pressed the shutter on the cara at the hugging pair.
Unaware of this, the two remained in their embrace.
