Lily Turner went downstairs to get so water and hadn’t co back up for a long ti. Easton Hols was getting a little uneasy, casually tossed the remote onto the sofa, and got up to leave the room.
Except for a few wall lights, the other lights on the first floor were off.
As Easton Hols walked down the stairs, he didn’t turn on the main light. He made his way to the living room by the dim wall lights.
He thought Lily Turner would be in the living room, but when he didn’t see her there, he imdiately frowned.
Where did she go? Could she have run out in anger?
Images of Lily Turner sneaking out flashed through Easton’s mind, but he didn’t rush out to look for her, choosing to calm himself down first.
Once composed, he left the living room and headed towards the kitchen. As he passed the dining room door, he suddenly saw soone sitting inside, and his steps halted abruptly.
anwhile, Lily Turner was sitting in a chair in the dining room, daydreaming, absentmindedly playing with a cup. She had already drunk more than half of the water in it.
Hearing footsteps approaching the door, she snapped back to reality, instinctively turning her head towards the sound.
By this ti, Easton Hols had walked over. Seeing Lily Turner looking in his direction, he instinctively quickened his pace.
"ditating here?" He walked to her side and sat down in the chair next to hers.
"Why did you co down too? Thirsty?"
Lily Turner just made small talk for the sake of it. As she spoke, she picked up her cup, ready to finish the water and go upstairs to sleep.
But before her cup reached her mouth, Easton Hols reached out and snatched the cup from her hand, downing the water in one go under her puzzled and astonished gaze.
"The water is finished now, so shouldn’t we go up and sleep?" Easton Hols looked intensely at Lily Turner, his eyes unblinking. Although the lighting was limited, it didn’t affect his view.
Being stared at by him, Lily Turner’s cheeks felt slightly warm. She could imagine how red her cheeks must have been, thankful for the lack of lighting in the dining room.
"Weren’t you thirsty?"
She couldn’t believe he had co down just to find her, considering he hadn’t said a word when she left the room earlier.
"Didn’t I just have a drink earlier?"
Easton Hols neither confird nor denied directly; instead, he answered Lily Turner’s question with another question.
Hearing this, Lily Turner felt her cheeks grow even warr, yet hidden in the darkness, she was not worried about Easton Hols seeing it.
"Oh!"
She just softly murmured "oh" and then stood up.
Seeing this, Easton Hols also stood up, and without any words, he took her hand and walked out of the dining room.
As they left the dining room, Easton Hols keenly noticed Aunt Gui hiding in the corner, his face suddenly darkening, "You can watch openly; there’s no need to sneak around like a thief."
"Hmm? What am I sneaking around watching?"
Lily Turner hadn’t noticed Aunt Gui hiding in the corner. When she heard Easton Hols speak, she looked at him, bewildered.
Upon hearing her words, Easton Hols withdrew his gaze from nearby, looked at the woman questioning him, and in the instant of turning his head, his expression shifted from cloudy to sunny, becoming radiant.
"Just don’t sneak around watching anymore; you can watch openly. I won’t be shy," he said as he leaned down and kissed her.
