Easton Hols had an important eting in the afternoon, and he didn’t have extra ti to waste here. After waiting for a long ti and still not seeing Lily Turner co out, he had to co and remind her to leave.
"Are you full? We should go."
From his experience with her these days, he knew she didn’t take long to eat at all.
"I want to stay at my sister’s place for a few days."
Lily Turner had a very obvious desire to stay, as she stood at the door of the restaurant, reluctant to step out. Her hands tightly gripped the door fra, afraid that if she let go, she would be dragged away by the man standing at the door.
Easton Hols glanced at Alice Turner sitting at the dining table. His gaze shifted, and he looked at Lily Turner, who was standing inside the door. Suddenly, he leaned in close and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, "It’s not appropriate for us to stay here, it would affect their life as a couple."
He said "us," not "you."
Lily Turner’s ears were sharp. She detected the emphasis in Easton Hols’ words and realized his determined attitude to take her away.
Angry, she rolled her eyes at him silently, then turned her head towards Alice Turner, who was still sitting there. Her face had already switched to a natural expression, "Sis! We have things to take care of, so I won’t stay here today. I’ll co visit you another day."
As she finished speaking, she turned her head back, a hint of dissatisfaction already showing on her face.
"You’re leaving already? Didn’t you say you’d stay here for a few days?" Hearing that Lily Turner was going to leave, Alice Turner quickly stood up and walked over to her.
"Sothing ca up at Easton’s house, we have to go back." Lily Turner glared at Easton Hols with annoyance, turning slightly to face Alice Turner, "Sis! You should go back and eat, I’ll co visit you another day, no need to see us out."
As Lily Turner spoke, she waved her hand at Alice Turner, signaling her to return to her al.
Since hearing Easton Hols ntion the information about registering the marriage with Lily Turner, Alice Turner knew she couldn’t stay today. Now seeing their firm attitude to leave, she didn’t insist on keeping Lily Turner.
"Then I’ll say goodbye to you here!"
After waving goodbye to Lily Turner, Alice Turner stood where she was, neither following them out nor returning to eat as suggested. She just stood there watching her.
After bidding farewell to Alice Turner, Lily Turner followed Easton Hols out. As they closed the door and headed to the elevator, she suddenly rembered that she hadn’t seen Benjamin Shaw earlier and looked to her side at him.
"Why didn’t I see my brother-in-law just now?"
As the little sister-in-law, she could be ignored, but as his good brother, he should at least courteously send them off.
"Mrs. Hols! Talking about another man right in front of is not nice, is it?" Easton Hols turned his head slightly, casting a glance at the puzzled woman, leading her into the elevator.
"Mr. Hols! Please note, that man is my sister’s husband." How did she not realize he’s such a petty man? Lily Turner glared at him with displeasure as he pulled her into the elevator. "Don’t forget, that man is now your brother-in-law as well."
Their marriage was still a secret to family mbers, but their relationship was clear. Her sister and brother-in-law were naturally his sister and brother-in-law too.
How did he forget this!
Easton Hols wanted to retort, but knowing that what she said made complete sense, any coback would be an irrational ramble.
"Got it!"
He stared at her for quite a while before slowly uttering these three words.
