Lily Turner originally thought she could hide out at her sister’s house for a few days to get so peace, but unexpectedly, she was brought back the sa day. Seeing her walk in with Easton Hols, Sister Gui was montarily stunned, taking quite a while to gather her wits.
"Young Master Easton! Young..."
"You just get on with what you need to do."
Before Sister Gui could call her Young Madam, Lily Turner waved her hand to interrupt, indicating that she should quickly report the situation.
The mont she saw Easton Hols and Lily Turner walking in, Sister Gui was so frightened her legs almost gave out.
Seeing that Easton Hols didn’t seem angry, she thought that Lily Turner might not have told him about what happened that morning, and her panicked heart eased just a little, but she wasn’t completely relieved.
Lily Turner’s words were layered with aning. Not only did Sister Gui hear it clearly, but she also took it to heart. Not daring to linger, she hurried back to her room to report the situation to Alia Linton.
Glancing in the direction where Sister Gui left, Lily Turner walked toward the living room, confident that once Alia Linton got the news, she would definitely rush over.
That morning, she had been kicked out, but she hadn’t held out much hope of leaving here; he would definitely not agree to her leaving.
If he had agreed, she would have left the day she learned the truth; why hang around until now?
However, his mother seed wholeheartedly intent on driving her out, as if only by sending her far away would she be satisfied.
"Lily! Is sothing on your mind?"
Easton Hols, who had followed her in, saw that Lily Turner looked burdened with heavy thoughts and walked over to sit beside her.
As Easton Hols’s voice ca from beside her, Lily Turner quickly tucked away her thoughts, swiftly adjusting her emotions. She turned to face him.
"Just feeling a bit tired."
The physical tiredness she could barely manage, but the emotional exhaustion was almost suffocating her.
"If you’re tired, go upstairs and rest."
Unaware, Easton Hols hadn’t thought much of it, only assuming that last night had worn out Lily Turner. Regardless of whether she’d agree, he reached out to pull her up from the sofa.
Lily Turner struggled to pull her hand back and sat back down on the sofa, "I can rest just as well in the living room as in the bedroom. Go do your things; I can manage on my own."
She also wanted so peace to rest properly, but could she? In no ti, soone would co knocking.
Rather than agonizingly waiting in the room, it was better to wait in the living room for his mother’s arrival. She needed to be constantly prepared for the next round of challenges.
"Are you really okay?"
Easton Hols raised his wrist to check the ti. There wasn’t much ti left before his eting; he needed to leave.
Seeing him check the ti, Lily Turner thought he must be in a hurry and promptly urged him to leave, "I’m really fine, you go on with your work."
After speaking, she pushed him slightly as he stood in front of her.
"Got it, I’m leaving now."
Easton Hols didn’t leave imdiately. Instead, he bent down and gave Lily Turner a quick kiss on the cheek. Before she could react and get angry, he darted out of the living room.
As he walked out of the living room door, he turned his head and tossed her a line: "Wait for at ho obediently."
He gave her a deep look before turning to leave.
Wait for him obediently at ho!
Whether she could obediently stay at this ho depended not on her but on his mother.
Staring in the direction Easton Hols left, Lily Turner didn’t co back to her senses for a long ti until she heard footsteps approaching and gradually refocused.
