When Lily Turner’s figure disappeared at the stairwell corner, Easton Hols finally turned around and walked towards the door. As he was about to reach it, his phone buzzed in his pocket.
He took out his phone and glanced at it. Just as he suspected, the call was from Thomas Fisher, one of his brothers waiting outside.
After a long wait with no one answering the door, the group outside began to lose their patience. Thomas Fisher, ahead of the others, quickly dialed Easton Hols’s number.
Easton Hols didn’t answer the call. He hastened to the door, opened it to welco his drunken friends.
"Big brother! What were you doing in there? Took you so long to open the door." As soon as the door opened, Thomas Fisher dissatisfiedly questioned Easton, striding into the house as he spoke.
Following closely behind Thomas Fisher, Evelyn Taylor also entered and headed straight towards the living room, acting as if she owned the place.
Easton Hols didn’t say anything, rely glanced at the two heading inside.
"I really couldn’t stop these two."
Ryan Taylor pointed to Evelyn and Thomas, worried they might cause trouble. He hurried inside after them.
Benjamin Shaw smiled helplessly, patted Easton Hols on the shoulder, sighed silently, and then entered without saying a word the entire ti.
Seeing all the drunken people enter, Easton Hols closed the door and followed them. By the ti he ca in, they had already settled on the living room sofa.
"Big brother! Where’s sister-in-law?"
Thomas Fisher hadn’t seen Lily Turner since entering, looked around but still didn’t spot her tall figure.
Easton Hols pointed upstairs calmly, "She’s already resting."
His expression was natural, and his tone composed, not revealing a hint of deceit.
"Already resting?"
Thomas Fisher glanced at his watch. Seeing the ti, he exclaid, "Not even ten yet and already asleep?! Isn’t that too early?"
For those used to vibrant nightlife, ten was still too early.
Easton Hols raised an eyebrow, coldly replied, "What? You have a problem?"
"Haha! No."
Thomas Fisher chuckled foolishly, then quickly shook his head.
How dared he have a problem with his sister-in-law, unless he wanted a good beating from his big brother?
Seated beside him, Evelyn Taylor snorted, about to say sothing when Ryan Taylor interjected, "Your sister-in-law is pregnant now, can she be compared to a party animal like you?"
Ryan Taylor emphasized the words "your sister-in-law is pregnant," seemingly addressing Thomas Fisher, but actually reminding Evelyn Taylor beside him.
He did so just to clear her mind and prevent any nonsense, worrying all along their way here.
"Of course, I can’t compare to her. Sister-in-law is now the priority." Ryan Taylor’s deliberate reminder snapped Thomas Fisher back to reality.
However, Evelyn Taylor feigned ignorance, her heart already filled with hostility towards Lily Turner. Seeing everyone siding with Lily increased her animosity.
"Is being pregnant really such a big deal? Who does she think she is? Just a washed-up celebrity who got dumped." Overco with rage, her words beca reckless.
