Alice Turner had made up her mind, but Lily Turner also had her own plans and thoughts. After finishing her phone call with Alice, she casually tossed the book in her hand onto the sofa, got up, grabbed her coat and her bag, and walked out of the room.
"Lily! Are you going out?"
Seeing Lily Turner dressed up and coming downstairs, Callix Linton, who was about to head to the washroom, stopped and asked.
"I feel a bit stuffy at ho, so I’m going out for so fresh air." Alia Linton’s commotion at ho was sothing Lily Turner didn’t want Callix Linton to know about. Her grandfather treated her very well, and she didn’t want to make things difficult for him because of that woman, who was, after all, his biological daughter.
Not knowing what happened, Callix Linton didn’t doubt Lily Turner’s words, genuinely believing she was just going out for so air.
"Wait for , I’ll go to the washroom real quick and then accompany you out for so air." With his grandson not around, he couldn’t let her go out alone; if anything happened, he couldn’t bear the responsibility.
"Grandpa! I’m not a child anymore. Are you afraid I’ll get lost?" Hearing Lily Turner’s words, Callix Linton, who was about to head to the washroom, turned back. Just after Lily Turner left, the phone at ho started ringing. Callix Linton instinctively walked towards the living room, but after a few steps, he saw Auntie Li already answering the phone, so he changed direction and headed to the washroom.
After relieving himself and coming out of the washroom, Callix Linton saw Auntie Li walking towards the door with a worried expression. He called out to stop her, "What’s happened? Who called just now?"
Everything was fine just a mont ago, and now, after a phone call, things seed so off. He knew sothing must have happened.
Hearing Callix Linton’s voice, Auntie Li stopped and looked over at him, "It was Easton Hols.
He called, asking to get Lily to co back to take the call."
Auntie Li reported truthfully without any concealnt.
"Did he say what he wanted with Lily?" Callix Linton asked puzzled.
Auntie Li shook her head, "No, he just said to get Lily back quickly."
"Go then."
Callix Linton waved his hand, and Auntie Li quickly headed out the door.
When Auntie Li chased after, Lily Turner had already gone far. She looked around for a mont, unsure which direction to go to search.
But she didn’t dare linger at the gate for long. After a mont’s hesitation, she chose a direction to search for Lily Turner.
Lily Turner headed toward the Military District Compound gate, while Auntie Li chose to search in the opposite direction, making the distance between them grow farther apart.
Using the house as the center, Auntie Li searched every place around but couldn’t find Lily Turner. By the ti she searched toward the direction of the Military District Compound gate, Lily Turner had already taken a cab and left.
Finding nothing, Auntie Li didn’t continue the ineffective search and quickly went back to call Easton Hols.
