Lily Turner stared at Easton Hols for a long ti without speaking. Just when he thought she wasn’t going to say anything, she suddenly mimicked his tone from earlier and spoke up: "I know you can’t leave here alone and go back yourself, but Mr. Hols! You won’t rest well here, and it will affect your work tomorrow."
There’s only one bed here; the two of them squeezed together definitely won’t sleep well. She could make up for it tomorrow, but he had to train early and deal with military duties all day.
"Pfft!"
Seeing her mimic his way of arguing against himself, he couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
Easton Hols looked extrely happy at the mont, the dissatisfaction on his face had long vanished. He reached out with the hand holding the chopsticks to pat her head, "Spending ti with my wife and child is also important."
Only after listening to what she said did he realize he had misunderstood her earlier.
The fact that she was so considerate made him both happy and deeply moved.
"I’m talking about serious matters, be serious!" Lily removed the hand from her head and looked sternly at the man sitting beside her, "I’ll protect your daughter, you can rest assured and go back. Besides, there are doctors here."
Today was just an accident, she didn’t believe she’d keep running into such accidents.
"Our daughter!"
Easton Hols ignored the main point Lily was trying to make and seriously corrected her words.

He never misses a chance to argue with her.
Lily didn’t argue, nor could she; he wasn’t wrong.
"Hurry and eat, we can discuss it after you finish."
She pointed at the bowl of wontons in his hand, urging him to eat quickly.
"I’ll stay here tonight, no negotiations."
No matter what Lily said, Easton Hols wasn’t going to leave. Giving her a glance, he picked up the bowl in his hand and quickly finished the remaining three wontons.
Seeing the man’s firm stance, Lily swallowed back the words at the tip of her tongue and didn’t ntion going ho again.
Once she stopped urging him to leave, Easton felt completely at ease and lowered the bed’s headrest, "Get so rest early."
He walked over to help her lie down on the bed and pulled up the covers for her.
After doing all this, he turned to head towards the sofa, but as soon as he took a step, she reached out and pulled him back. Puzzled, he turned his head, "What’s wrong?"
"I can’t sleep alone."
As Lily spoke, she moved to one side of the bed, clearly indicating that she wanted him, who was standing by its side, to lie down.
Easton was montarily stunned, then removed his shoes and lay down beside her, pulling her into his arms, "If you can’t be without , then why were you trying to chase away earlier? You..."
"Who can’t be without you? Don’t get so full of yourself."
Before Easton could finish his sentence, Lily couldn’t take it anymore and retorted back.
Although interrupted, he didn’t feel unhappy at all, he smiled and tapped her nose, "Of course you can’t be without ."
He tightened his arm a bit, hugging her closer.
"Annoying! I just didn’t want you to sleep on the sofa." Lily was worried Easton wouldn’t rest well on the sofa and had forcefully pulled him onto the bed earlier. Little did she expect he’d use this to tease her, so she lifted her hand and gave him a light smack.
When she pulled him, he didn’t understand what she ant, but when she made room for him, he instantly got it.
Easton leaned down to give Lily a kiss, looking blissful, "You’re the best, my love!"
