To make up for her mistake, Alice Turner deliberately took two days off. She got up early this morning to make nourishing chicken soup for Lily Turner.
"Sis! Thank you, you’re the best to ."
Looking at the steaming chicken soup in front of her, Lily Turner felt incredibly touched and opened her arms to hug Alice, who was sitting next to her.
Alice gave Lily a quick hug back, then gently pushed her away, "Hurry and drink it while it’s hot, don’t get all emotional with ."
She was worried that if Lily kept getting emotional, she might shed tears, so to prevent her little sister from ignoring her advice, she leaned over to lift the bowl of chicken soup.
"Let’s drink it together."
Lily accepted the bowl of chicken soup from Alice, scooped a spoonful, but instead of feeding herself, she held the spoon with the chicken soup up to Alice’s mouth, "Open your mouth!"
She placed the spoon right next to her sister’s mouth, not giving her a chance to dodge.
Seeing Lily’s firm attitude, Alice knew that being polite would only waste ti and opened her mouth to drink the chicken soup from the spoon.
"This chicken soup is for you to nourish your body, you drink it. It would be a waste if I drink it." Worried that Lily would try to feed her chicken soup again, Alice moved aside, putting so distance between them.
Looking at her sister who had moved to the side, Lily feigned a pitiful sigh, "Ah! Even my dearest sister is starting to dislike now."
After saying this, she sighed again at her sister, her face showing an even more pitiful expression.
"Stop acting cute, just hurry up and drink it."
Alice and Lily Turner grew up together and were very familiar with each other, with Lily sotis knowing her better than she knew herself.
No matter how genuine Lily’s pitiful expression seed, Alice saw through it, knowing that her little sister was just being cute with her.
Having her little trick seen through by her sister, Lily didn’t feel the slightest embarrassnt or annoyance. She turned her head to smile at her sister, "Alright, I’ll listen to you, sis."
With that, she picked up the bowl of chicken soup and started drinking.
Seeing Lily focus on drinking the chicken soup, Alice sat nearby with a happy smile. Watching her little sister enjoy it so much made her feel like all her morning efforts had been worth it.
When Easton Hols ca out of the bathroom, Lily had already drunk half the chicken soup. Seeing him walk over, she swallowed a mouthful and said, "My sister’s chicken soup is so delicious, you should try so too."
She pointed with the hand holding the spoon toward the thermos on the coffee table, indicating that he should drink the chicken soup inside.
"You have it,"
Easton didn’t give Lily a chance to persuade him to drink the chicken soup again. After pausing briefly, he imdiately added, "You two sit tight, I’m going out for a bit."
These last words were said to both sisters, and after speaking, he promptly turned and left the hospital room.
Where is that guy rushing off to again?
Lily was filled with curiosity but didn’t show it. She continued calmly sipping her chicken soup from the bowl.
"Sis! You don’t need to stay here with , hurry to work." Only after finishing the chicken soup did Lily suddenly rember this matter, tilting her head to urge her.
Alice truthfully replied, "I took a leave."
Even if it wasn’t her mistake that caused her sister’s pregnancy stress, she would still take leave to care for her sister at the hospital. Her sister needed family by her side at this ti.
She well understood who her sister needed most for company right now, but she couldn’t tell their mother about this. Their mom would take the chance to pressure her sister into having an abortion.
