Lily Turner finally understood that although the dialogue between Easton Hols and Thomas Fisher had a lot of bickering, neither of them seed angry, and it seed they were actually enjoying the squabble.
She had just worried for nothing, even stepping in to explain in case the two would start a fight.
Alas!
She got fooled by these two brothers!
"Don’t mind him, he’ll find his own wife," Lily unconsciously sighed, which clearly reached Easton’s ears. Unaware of the situation, he thought she was sighing about what Thomas just said, and he quickly spoke up.
Thomas also heard Lily’s sigh, and just like Easton, he thought it was about what he had said. He smiled at her and said, "Sister-in-law! I was just joking with you earlier, don’t take it to heart. Now my nephew is the most important."
His sister-in-law was hospitalized because of so pregnancy complications, and he didn’t want any new issues to arise because of his words. That would make him feel really guilty, and he hoped nothing like that would happen.
Nephew?
Lily initially didn’t understand who Thomas was referring to when he said ’my nephew,’ but when she saw him glance at her belly, she suddenly got it.
At this mont, she realized both brothers misunderstood her sigh. She glanced at each of them, "You two look at as if I’m too delicate, but I’m quite strong, okay?"
As soon as Lily finished speaking, Easton’s questioning voice sounded right beside her ear, "Really?"
"Of course."
She replied without hesitation, not doubting at all.
"So you’ve been pretending to be delicate all this ti?"
Easton suddenly leaned close to Lily’s ear and whispered so only the two of them could hear, "Since you say you’re so strong, I won’t hold back with you from now on."
After speaking, he mischievously blew warm air in her ear before straightening up and moving away.
How could this man be so...
There were others around, yet he spoke such words in her ear.
Lily turned her head and glared at the man beside her, but because Thomas was sitting on the other side, she didn’t say anything.
Seeing the couple whispering, instead of making himself less present, Thomas intentionally heightened his presence. "Big brother! Sister-in-law! There’s a living person sitting right here, can you two stop whispering?"
From his angle, the couple looked like they were intimately whispering to each other.
He was worried that if he didn’t speak up, the couple might engage in so other intimate behavior.
"Then why don’t you hurry up and disappear."
Hearing Thomas’s protest, Easton retorted imdiately.
Compared to Easton’s thick-skinned nature, Lily appeared much shyer. After hearing Thomas’s words, her face imdiately flushed with a shy blush, and she didn’t dare turn her head to look at Thomas.
Thomas leaned forward and made a cutting remark to his brother, "Big brother! You can’t provoke with words, I won’t fall for it. Today I’m determined to be this shining third wheel."
After speaking, he provocatively pouted his lips at his brother.
"Shining? You’re really giving yourself too much credit." Easton glanced at Thomas, and then continued, "Brat! I realize you’re becoming more and more narcissistic these days."
"How am I narcissistic? I’m clearly just..."
Buzz buzz buzz!
The sound of a vibrating phone suddenly interrupted Thomas’s sentence.
