Alice’s words didn’t cause Sophia any suspicion from the beginning, so she believed Sophia completely when she heard what she said later.
Because she believed what Alice said, she was particularly angry, "That brat really doesn’t know how to keep herself clean, breaking up with Henry and marrying that Hols guy right away; how do people look at her?"

Alice rubbed her forehead with her hand and looked helplessly at Sophia, "Mom! I’m not that easy to deceive, besides, how could Lily possibly lie to ? We’ve been like sisters since childhood."
"You should know even better than I do what kind of person Lily is," Alice emphasized seriously once more before Sophia could speak.
Although Sophia listened to Alice’s words, she had a different view, "But that Hols guy, I don’t know what kind of person he is at all."
She might not know what kind of person Hols is, but she certainly knows what kind of people his parents are.
His father is a downright scumbag, and his mother is such a wicked person; how good can a son raised by these two be?
"I know a bit. Easton Hols is a soldier; his character is surely not questionable, or he couldn’t be a soldier, let alone a commander, and most importantly, he’s particularly good to Lily." Even though Alice hadn’t interacted much with Easton Hols, she understood so things about him, and the good he has shown to Lily was sothing she personally witnessed.

"Mom! You might not know yet, Easton Hols is Benjamin’s best friend, and besides, he’s Lily’s husband, so the few of us are closer," Alice didn’t dare say it was actually Lily calling; she used another story to cover it up.
