Christopher’s request was giving Alice a headache, with Lily now staying in the hospital, how could she call her to co here for dinner? That would just waste all her previous efforts.
"You said Lily’s phone is off, how can I reach her?" In a mont of urgency, she thought of what her dad had just said.
"Don’t you have that Easton guy’s number? You can call him and ask him to pass on the ssage." Sophia spoke up before Christopher could, and as soon as she did, Alice felt her head buzzing.
This news to Christopher was truly a delightful surprise, and he eagerly urged, "Quickly, give them a call and ask them both to co together."
As he spoke, he couldn’t hide his inner delight and excitent.
"No way! Only Lily can co back alone."
As Alice was still thinking about how to reply, Sophia again spoke first, this ti relieving the urgency that had just risen in her heart.
Christopher beca unhappy, asking discontentedly, "Why not?"
This opportunity was rare and very much sought after by him.
"No reason, just can’t."
Sophia replied very straightforwardly and directly; she just didn’t want Easton to co to their house.
Upon hearing this, Christopher’s expression changed imdiately, "Do you know who that Easton you’re talking about is? He’s the Holms..."
"I don’t care who he is."
Before Christopher could finish his sentence, Sophia rudely interrupted him, and both her expression and tone were far from friendly.
Normally, upon seeing Christopher’s change of expression, Sophia would certainly soften, but today she was in a bad mood and had extre aversion towards the Hols family, and she was resolutely against Easton coming to their ho.
Christopher had already made up his mind; he was determined to et this son-in-law no matter what. He didn’t want to say anything further to Sophia and instead turned his gaze to Alice, "Quickly call Lily and them."
Ever since finding out that Lily’s spouse was Easton Hols, he hasn’t had peace of mind.
"Only call Lily back alone, I don’t want to see anyone else." Sophia’s attitude was firm as she loudly reminded Alice.
"You..."
"Dad! Mom! Please, both of you stop arguing."
Seeing her parents getting more intense, Alice worried that if she didn’t intervene now, they might really start a fight, and by then it would be too late to stop.
"Lily and Easton have things to do these days; they absolutely can’t co here. You’re arguing over sothing that won’t even happen." Though her parents didn’t know the situation, she understood perfectly well that even if she called Easton, they couldn’t co today.
Even if Easton and Lily could co now, Alice wasn’t planning to call them. Her parents couldn’t agree on anything, and if they ca it would only end in an unpleasant argunt.
The situation was already complicated and ssy enough, she couldn’t let it get worse.
As soon as Alice spoke, Christopher deflated imdiately, but he wasn’t ready to give up hope, "Then when will they be free?"
He was eager to et Easton Hols, itching to go to find him himself, but knowing the consequences of such an action wouldn’t be good, he held back that impulse.
