Although Lily Turner was whispering to Easton Hols, Callix Linton and Michael Linton, who were walking ahead, still heard them. Both n reacted, but their responses were quite different.
"Girl! You stayed in the hospital for one day, and you’ve picked up bad habits." Callix stopped, turned to look at the two following behind, "Easton! It’s your responsibility!"
After saying that, he gave the couple a look each and continued heading towards the living room.
Michael was much calr than Callix; he just glanced back at Lily once before helping his elderly father into the living room.
How am I turning bad! I was just telling the truth earlier.
Lily wanted to retort, but because Michael was present, she swallowed her words.
"Honey! Now you see your grandpa’s ’true colors’? Let’s not play with him in the future." Easton tilted his head to comfort Lily when he saw her disgruntled expression.
If his comforting words to his wife were overheard by his grandpa, who knew if the old man might smack him.
Lily looked at her husband trying to comfort her and smiled, "Yeah! Let’s not play with him anymore. Your wife here holds grudges."
Knowing he was joking, she joined in on the joke.
But this ti, she was careful to control her voice.
"That’s the spirit, I support you."
While Easton was speaking, he even made a cheering gesture, silently encouraging Lily.
While the two were joking around, Callix’s voice floated over from the living room, "Easton! Lily! What are you two dawdling for outside? Hurry up and co in."
Not seeing Easton and Lily co in for a long ti, Callix couldn’t contain himself and shouted towards the living room door.
"Coming!"
"Coming!"
Upon hearing Callix call them, the two responded in unison.
Their synchronized response surprised them both for a mont, as if they had planned it, and they turned to look at each other.
When their eyes t, they both froze for a mont before sharing a knowing smile and striding into the living room.
As Easton and Lily walked in, Callix and Michael were already seated on the sofa, seemingly discussing sothing. Seeing them enter, both turned their gazes towards them.
"Your uncle doesn’t co by often; make sure you chat with him properly." Callix’s words were directed at Easton. This pair shared the sa profession and ambitions, and they were his proudest achievents in life.
Easton led Lily over and sat down not far from Michael; he had always greatly admired his uncle Michael.
The reason he joined the army when he grew up was entirely due to the influence of his uncle and grandfather, with his uncle having the greatest impact.
After they sat down, Michael couldn’t help but glance again at Lily, but unlike before, he quickly shifted his gaze to Easton after a brief look.
Although Michael’s gaze was quick, Lily still noticed it, and her pretty brows furrowed slightly.
From the mont she t Michael earlier, she felt his gaze on her was strange, but she couldn’t figure out why.
He was long past the age of being a fan, and he couldn’t possibly be her fan; her fans would never react like him upon seeing her.
