Both in the military and having a nephew-uncle relationship, Easton Hols and Michael Linton have a lot in common to talk about, and once they start chatting, they can’t stop.
Callix Linton also joined in, chatting with his two proud family mbers.
Lily Turner, however, couldn’t get a word in. As an outsider, she had no intention of joining the conversation and was content to be a quiet listener.
Even though she couldn’t contribute, she didn’t feel bored at all. Watching the three generations of military n chat together, she was quite curious and listened intently.
This continued until Auntie Li called them for dinner.
"Alright! Let’s go eat."
Callix Linton was the first to stand up, followed closely by Michael Linton, who helped his elderly father out of the living room, leaving the space for Easton Hols and Lily Turner.
Seeing his grandfather and uncle leave the living room, Easton Hols reached out and pulled Lily Turner towards him. "Did you feel bored just now? If this happens again, just go upstairs to watch TV to pass the ti."
He had been so engrossed in the conversation earlier that he had montarily neglected her, and he felt a bit uncomfortable about it.
"I didn’t feel bored at all. Watching you chat with Grandpa and Uncle was quite novel for ." Lily Turner took Easton Hols’s arm, ignoring the surprise on his face, she changed the subject directly, "We should hurry over, or Grandpa will call for us again."
Just now, they had whispered a few words to each other, and Grandpa was already urging them.
"Alright! Let’s go eat."
Easton Hols put away his surprised expression, pulled Lily Turner up from the sofa, and hand in hand, they left the living room together.
When the two of them walked into the dining room, Auntie Li had already served them rice. Callix Linton and Michael Linton were waiting for the two to start the al.
Seeing this, Lily Turner didn’t dare delay any longer. She released Easton Hols’s hand and imdiately went over to sit down at her seat.
Compared to her urgency, Easton Hols remained much calr, walking over leisurely and sitting down beside her.
"Lily! Eat more."
Before picking up his chopsticks to eat, Callix Linton turned his head and specially instructed Lily Turner.
Easton Hols understood his grandfather’s concern and spoke before Lily Turner could, "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she eats well, so your great-grandchild won’t go hungry."
Everyone at ho knew she ate little, and Grandpa worried that this would affect the nutrition of the baby in her belly, so he always urged her to eat more at every al.
"Great-grandchild?"
Michael Linton didn’t catch on at first, so Callix Linton explained, "This girl is pregnant, and Easton is going to be a dad."
As he spoke, Mr. Linton’s face was full of a happy smile.
"Easton is going to be a father?!"
Michael Linton turned his head to look at Easton Hols and Lily Turner, and it was clear he was very happy too. He offered his blessings to the two of them, "Easton! Lily! Congratulations to you both."
"Thank you, Uncle!"
Although a little shy, Lily Turner politely thanked Michael Linton.
Michael Linton smiled and asked, "Lily! Are you from this city?"
His tone seed casual, but his expression was serious.
"Yes!"
Lily Turner didn’t notice this, and she nodded at Michael Linton’s question.
"You..."
Michael Linton wanted to ask Lily Turner more, but as soon as he opened his mouth, Callix Linton interrupted him, "Let’s eat first, and talk after we’re done."
