When Michael Linton went to the Turner Family in the evening, he introduced himself to Christopher Turner, so he was fully aware of Lily Turner’s stepfather’s na.
"His na is Christopher Turner! Do you know him?"
The Turner Family appeared to be an affluent one, and he thought Aiden Taylor should know him, or at least they should have heard of each other.
"Christopher Turner? I feel like I’ve heard that na sowhere." Aiden Taylor found the na Christopher Turner sowhat familiar. After a mont of thought, he finally rembered, "I rember now, he’s the father of Alexander’s daughter-in-law."
The "Alexander" ntioned by Aiden Taylor was Benjamin Shaw’s father, Alexander Shaw. Alexander and Aiden were old comrades, although later, Alexander was forced by his father to leave the military for business.
Michael Linton also knew Alexander Shaw, not because of his military background, but through Benjamin Shaw. Although he wasn’t a stranger to Alexander, he couldn’t say they were very close either.
"Are you saying Lily’s sister married Benjamin?"
That kid, how dare he not clear things up with him, he must have done it on purpose.
"Didn’t Easton tell you?"
Seeing Michael Linton’s stunned expression, Aiden Taylor guessed that Easton Hols definitely hadn’t ntioned it, otherwise, his uncle wouldn’t be so surprised.
Easton Hols had never actively told Michael Linton about Alice Turner and Benjamin Shaw’s situation. It was only when Michael inquired about Lily Turner’s family that Easton ntioned it briefly.
He only said Lily Turner’s sister had married, but as for whom she married, he didn’t even ntion it.
At that ti, Michael Linton hadn’t paid much attention to these details because his focus was not on them. Thinking back now, he couldn’t entirely bla the kid.
"He did ntion it, but I didn’t pay attention at the ti."
Indeed, it was ntioned, just not very clearly, and at the ti, he truly hadn’t paid attention.
Aiden Taylor didn’t continue discussing this topic with Michael Linton; instead, he shifted the conversation back, "Do you think Jasmine will let Lily return to her roots?"
He had no certainty about this because, for over twenty years, the parents had disowned the mother and daughter, and had said many heartless things to them.
"Jasmine shouldn’t obstruct this, right? After all, Lily is Daxton’s daughter, not to ntion she once loved Daxton deeply." Michael Linton’s words lacked conviction. Although he hadn’t witnessed the events of those years personally, he later learned bits and pieces from others. What he heard made him furious, let alone for soone who lived through it.
Aiden Taylor wasn’t as optimistic as Michael Linton. He had seen with his own eyes the coldness exhibited by the parents back then.
Even after so many years, he could vividly recall her eyes filled with resentnt and the words she said as she left with the child: "I hate you Taylors!"
She hated the Taylor Family! Over twenty years had passed, did she still hate the Taylor Family now?
"Let’s hope so!"
His current and only hope was just that, hoping the other side would, for his brother’s sake, not hold a grudge against the Taylor Family and allow his brother’s daughter to return to her roots.
"Aiden, don’t stress yourself out too much. I will certainly help you. Lily is now my nephew’s wife." Even if she weren’t his nephew’s wife, he would definitely assist. Her mother wasn’t just his good brother’s wife.
Michael Linton raised his head to gaze at the sky enveloped in night, sighed faintly at the dim sky, and when he withdrew his gaze, he had already adjusted his emotions back to their usual state.
