Michael Linton learned from the doctor that Alia Linton had been laughing uncontrollably due to emotional shock. The doctor had to inject a sedative to put her to sleep.
No wonder when he saw his sister earlier, her brows were still furrowed even in her sleep. She had gone through a major shock.
"Fabian Hols! Let’s talk outside!"
Michael Linton didn’t enter after opening the door but called Fabian Hols to talk outside from the doorway. Because he harbored resentnt towards Fabian Hols, he didn’t address him as brother-in-law, but directly used his full na.
When Michael Linton went to find the doctor earlier, Fabian had already anticipated that Michael would be angry. Seeing Michael enter with a stern face, he wasn’t surprised.
"Easton! Take care of your mom here, I’ll go out and have a word with your dad." As Michael Linton turned to leave, he glanced at Easton Hols, who was about to follow. His expression slightly softened at that mont.
But when he turned back to Fabian Hols, his face instantly darkened again, casting a cold glance at Fabian before striding out of the ward.
"Stay here, I’m going to et your uncle."
Fabian paused for a mont, but eventually gave Easton a brief farewell, without expecting any response from his son. After that, he followed Michael out of the ward with large strides.
Glancing at the recently closed door, Easton Hols shifted his gaze back to Alia Linton lying on the hospital bed.
He stared at the person on the bed for a long while, then slowly turned his gaze to the window, deep in thought, as if pondering sothing unbeknownst to others.
Michael Linton and Fabian Hols walked one after the other to the small garden in the hospital, stopping before a pavilion.
"What did you two argue about? Stop lying to ; I want to hear the truth." Just as he steadied his steps in the pavilion, Michael Linton began to speak first, his voice deep and filled with dissatisfaction.
Having already experienced Michael Linton’s approach, Fabian no longer dared to make up lies casually. He had originally thought he could cover up for tonight with so lies, but he couldn’t even hide it for two hours.
"Your sister ntioned those past events again today, and I got upset and argued with her." He spoke truthfully but didn’t tell the whole story. He didn’t want to involve his younger son, who was innocent.
What Fabian didn’t know was that the information Easton uncovered was not only accurate but also very detailed. Michael Linton was right there, listening carefully.
Hearing Fabian’s words, Michael imdiately questioned, "You two argued, so why did your son go out with my sister? Did what happened to my sister later have anything to do with your son?"
His sharp gaze was fixed directly on the person standing opposite him.
"They went for a drive. We thought a drive would cheer her up a bit, but when I found them, she argued with even more." Fabian tried not to look Michael in the eye, but even without looking, he could feel that piercing gaze, making him feel uneasy.
Michael could tell that Fabian’s words were all protecting Theodore, which made him even more suspicious that this matter was directly related to Theodore.
"Are you sure it has nothing to do with your son?" His gaze remained sharp, still fixed directly on the man in front of him.
