After Lily Turner sat down on the sofa, Callix Linton finally spoke, without any hesitation or beating around the bush.
"What are your plans for the future? Will you acknowledge the Taylor Family?" He hoped in his heart that she would acknowledge them, after all, she is a child of the Taylor Family, which would be good for both sides.
Since Lily Turner expected Callix Linton to ask her these things, she was not surprised at all when he did.
"I haven’t decided yet."
She knew that the people of the Taylor Family were her relatives, but she couldn’t quite turn that corner in her mind. Every ti she thought about how she and her mother were driven out by the Taylor Family, she felt very uncomfortable.
It would be a lie to say she had no resentnt towards the Taylor Family. She definitely wouldn’t acknowledge them for the ti being, and whether she would in the future, she couldn’t say for sure now.
Hearing these words, Callix Linton knew that Lily Turner definitely didn’t want to acknowledge them, and as for the reason, he was very clear in his heart. "Then just think about it slowly, it’s not sothing urgent."
He believed that she would figure it out. She is a kind and thoughtful child, and he had never been wrong about people.
Taking ti to think is not what one person believed — that person being Lily Turner’s uncle, Aiden Taylor. Upon learning from Michael Linton that Lily Turner already knew her identity, he drove to the Linton Family’s house that very noon.
When Aiden Taylor arrived ho, Callix Linton and Lily Turner were eating in the dining room. Seeing him rushing in, they both stopped.
"You’re here, sit down and have so food with us."
At the mont he saw Aiden Taylor, Callix Linton imdiately thought that it was Michael who had called him. But was this person really so impatient?
Aiden Taylor wasn’t one to stand on ceremony. He glanced at Lily Turner, walked over, and sat down on Callix Linton’s right side, but he showed no intention of taking up chopsticks to eat. "I’ve already eaten."
He had co straight here without even entering the cafeteria. He didn’t have the mind to eat right now.
"Then we won’t be polite either."
Lily Turner might be kept in the dark, but as an old soldier, Callix Linton would know the routine of a soldier. However, he didn’t expose Aiden Taylor’s lie, but picked up the chopsticks and continued eating.
Aiden Taylor was anxious, wanting to pull Lily Turner aside to ask sothing, but seeing Callix Linton eating leisurely, he forcibly suppressed this impulse.
Lily Turner looked at Aiden Taylor, then at Callix Linton. She didn’t know whether to continue eating or to face the suddenly arriving Aiden Taylor.
She might have been slower than others in so matters, but she wasn’t silly. She could see that this man who suddenly appeared at ho was definitely here for her.
"Girl! Hurry up and eat."
Seeing Lily Turner staring absentmindedly at her food, Callix Linton urged her.
"Aiden! You’d better go and wait in the living room. You standing here is really affecting our appetite." Callix Linton was entirely unaffected, but the sa couldn’t be said for Lily Turner, who was sitting beside him. From the look in her eyes, he could see she was greatly affected.
Aiden Taylor noticed this too, and without saying much, he glanced at both Callix Linton and Lily Turner before standing up to leave the dining room for the living room to wait.
"Everything will be alright, don’t worry."
Callix Linton reassured Lily Turner, giving her a sense of security and telling her not to worry too much.
