On December 3rd, Easton Hols took a day off to accompany Lily Turner and Sophia Wood to pay their respects to Daxton Taylor.
From the mont he woke up in the morning, he was torn. He really wanted to say happy birthday to her, but knowing that today was also the anniversary of her biological father’s death, he couldn’t bring himself to say those words.

Callix Linton just said that he understood, and didn’t say much else. He glanced in the direction of the doorway and then turned to walk to the living room.
As he was walking to the living room, he took out the phone from his pocket, found Aiden Taylor’s number in the contacts, and dialed it without much thought.
The phone rang for a long ti without being answered, and it disconnected automatically, with no response.
Callix Linton dialed Aiden Taylor’s number again, and this ti the call was answered after just one ring.
"Aiden! You probably haven’t left yet, right? I’m telling you, go later because today Easton took Lily to pay respects to Daxton." Before anyone on the other side could speak, Callix Linton impatiently began to speak in a rush.
The reason Easton Hols and Lily Turner were acting secretly was that Callix Linton quickly realized they didn’t want the Taylor Family to know. To keep it a secret, neither of them said a word to him.
If he hadn’t accidentally seen her borrowing black shoes from Aunt Li in the morning, he wouldn’t have known about it.

Callix Linton deduced that they were going to pay respects to Daxton Taylor, and in order to help them, he secretly inford Aiden Taylor to prevent them from encountering each other at the cetery.
This should have been a reassuring thing, but that girl still hasn’t fully figured things out, so it’s better they don’t et yet.
For a long while, he didn’t hear any movent from the other end of the phone, which puzzled Callix Linton greatly. "Aiden! Are you listening to ?"
He waited for a bit longer, but still the other end remained silent, not even a hint of noise.
"What’s going on? Did it hang up?"
Muttering to himself, Callix Linton took the phone away from his ear. When he saw the call was still connected, he put the phone back to his ear. "Aiden! What on earth are you doing? Speak!"
Uncertain about what was happening on the other end, he was both confused and anxious.
The other side still remained silent as if no one was there.
Callix Linton didn’t continue to wait, he took the phone away from his ear again, hung up, and dialed again.
But this ti, no one answered when he called.
He called several more tis, but the result was the sa, with no one picking up.
Feeling that sothing was off, Callix Linton stopped calling Aiden Taylor’s mobile and dialed the Taylor Family’s landline.
