When Callix Linton called, Aiden Taylor’s family of four had already left, leaving only the nanny at ho.
Learning that the family had already left, Callix began to worry. He hung up the ho phone and picked up his mobile to call Aiden Taylor.
Aiden’s phone rang, but no one answered. Not daring to waste more ti, he called his son, Michael Linton.
At that mont, Michael was in a military eting, and his phone signal was blocked. No matter how many tis Callix tried, all he heard was "out of service area."
With Aiden’s call unanswered and Michael’s phone out of service, Callix started to get restless. After hesitating, he decided to call Easton Hols.
"Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently busy. Sorry..."
To avoid accidentally slipping words when receiving calls from Callix and Michael, before leaving, Easton had temporarily blacklisted both of their numbers. Once everything was settled, he planned to remove them from the blacklist.
But Callix didn’t know this, nor would he suspect it since the other party was his grandson. He could never have guessed.
What was happening today?
All three calls had issues. Either they connected without an answer, were out of service, or were busy.
While Callix was anxiously waiting at ho, Easton had already t up with Lily Turner and Sophia Wood at the prearranged location. Easton took the lead in his car, with Sophia closely following.
"Drive a little slower; my mom can’t keep up." Concerned that Sophia was lagging behind, Lily tilted her head to remind Easton to control his speed, then turned to check behind them.
Seeing Sophia keeping pace, she sat back, relieved.
Easton glanced at her and said, "Just relax and sit back; I know what to do."
His wife, always worrying, needing to manage everything. Did he seem like soone who didn’t know priorities?
Especially with his mother-in-law trailing behind, could he carelessly drive and leave her behind?
"Hmm."
Lily was entirely at ease about this point. Easton always had a sense of asure. She watched him focus on driving and leaned her head against the seat.
She wasn’t sleepy at all; she just didn’t feel like talking at the mont and wanted to rest quietly.
"Easton Hols! You’ve definitely seen my dad, right? What does he look like? Does he resemble Ryan Taylor’s dad?" After a long silence, Lily suddenly spoke up. If Easton didn’t have a calm disposition, he might have been startled.
Easton turned to glance at her. She was still leaning against the seat, but she was no longer staring blankly ahead. Instead, she was looking at him.
"They look quite similar, especially the eyes." Although Easton’s personal mory of Daxton Taylor was already blurry, there were photos of the Taylor family, and he had seen Daxton’s photos there.
In the photos, Daxton and Aiden looked very similar, particularly their eyes.
Not only were the elder brothers’ eyes similar, but even Ryan and Evelyn, Lily, their eyes were all like they were cast from the sa mold.
"So what about looks like my dad?"
It’s often said that daughters resemble their fathers more. Lily sat up and looked at Easton, full of anticipation.
