Despite her confusion, Alice Turner still shut down her computer, stood up, and walked over to Lily Turner, "Did you explain everything clearly?"
Seeing that her younger sister’s mood was much better than before, she finally felt relieved.
"Yeah."
Lily Turner took the phone away from her ear and handed it to Alice Turner, "Mom has sothing to ask you."
After saying this, she shoved the phone into her sister’s hand.
Alice Turner looked at the phone forced into her hand, then at Lily Turner, completely puzzled. She picked up the phone in bewildernt, "Mom! Do you have sothing to ask ?"
She frowned in confusion, her eyes looking at her sister standing beside her, equally puzzled.
"Why did Lily suddenly take us to her place? Did sothing happen? Is she not planning to co back tonight?" Sophia Wood had heard the sisters’ conversation over the phone and knew why Lily Turner handed the phone to Alice, but her focus was now on this issue.
She had already confird from their conversation that her younger daughter was okay.
Sophia Wood’s questions were precisely what puzzled and intrigued Alice Turner as well. She didn’t understand why her mom would ask her, as she also had no clue.
"Mom! I’m not very sure about what you’re asking either. You should just ask Lily directly." She returned the phone to her sister, along with the opportunity to clarify the situation.
Lily Turner was standing next to her, and she had heard Sophia Wood’s questions clearly. Picking up the phone, she placed it against her ear.
"Mom! I might not co back tonight."
If she understood correctly, this is what that man ant.
"You’re not coming ho? What do you an? Didn’t we agree that you would stay at ho tonight?" After lunch, Lily Turner returned ho, and Sophia Wood was overjoyed, but now things had taken a complete 180-degree turn.
Aside from confusion, all she felt was surprise. She couldn’t accept this situation; what logic is there in a married daughter not returning to her parental ho?
Faced with Sophia Wood’s strong reaction, Lily Turner suddenly lost her earlier confidence, "Tonight, you’re staying with at my place, it’s mine and Easton’s ho, not his grandfather’s place."
She explained things more clearly, hoping her mom would understand and agree.
"This is Easton’s idea, isn’t it?"
Whether it was Easton Hols and Lily Turner’s ho or Callix Linton’s place, Sophia Wood couldn’t accept it; the situation was inconsistent, and she was convinced it was Easton’s idea.
Lily Turner instinctively wanted to nod but stopped herself imdiately, "It’s both of our decision."
She couldn’t say it was just his idea, or her mom would be upset. Her relationship with them had just improved, and it wouldn’t be worth it to cause any displeasure over trivial matters.
"I can’t agree with your decision."
Without thinking much, Sophia Wood firmly rejected it. She couldn’t accept this arrangent from the bottom of her heart.
They were marrying off their daughter, yet their daughter wasn’t getting married from their own ho. Does this still look like they’re marrying off a daughter?
What kind of situation is this?
In other things, she let the groom’s family take charge, but this was her only request, which they couldn’t agree to, and how could she possibly accept that?
