When Lily went to the Thompson Family to break off the engagent, she didn't discuss it with anyone, nor did she tell anyone, including her closest confidante, Alice.
Amber's words not only shocked Sophia but also surprised Alice. However, her surprise only lasted for a second before it disappeared.
"What did you say? Lily went to your house to call off the engagent?" Sophia was not able to calm down imdiately. Not knowing what had happened, she was both shocked and perplexed, and she felt a bit angry that Lily would keep sothing so big from her, her own mother, without a single hint.
Seeing Sophia's reaction, Amber imdiately realized that Lily hadn't inford her family about breaking off the engagent. This situation left her surprised and puzzled, but she didn't dwell on it too much since it wasn't her concern.
"Yes! If she wants to break it off, then let her. Just tell her not to spread rumors about my Henry ssing around outside anymore." Thinking about the situation when Lily ca to their house to call off the engagent, Amber was infuriated. Later, she secretly asked her son, Henry, about it behind Charles's back, and out of fear of his father, Henry flatly denied it.
Completely unaware of the situation, Amber naturally chose to believe her son. She never believed the things Lily said from the beginning, and now, with the investor incident occurring, she believed Lily even less.
At this mont she had ample reason to suspect that Lily was the one shouting "Stop thief!" Clearly, she was the one having an affair and fleeing the marriage, yet in the end, she blad her son.
Sophia hadn't even managed to process the shock of Lily breaking off the engagent with the Thompson Family before she was thrown into the shock of Henry fooling around, filled with confusion as she was completely in the dark.

The more she spoke, the angrier she beca, so much so that her cheeks flushed red with anger.
"Lily accusing Henry of misconduct? How is that possible? Lily loves Henry so much." Lily's love for Henry was so unabashedly apparent to everyone around her, and as her mother, Sophia could see it clearly.
At these words, Amber let out an icy laugh of disagreent: "Ha! She loves our Henry? I think she loves money instead."
"Aunt Amber! What you're saying is too much." Amber's words were too excessive for Alice to bear, and without even considering whether it might be impolite, she suddenly stood up and looked at Amber, her pretty face full of anger, "Lily did not falsely accuse your son.
